Well my formula is straight from the ECU, so I know it's right :) Thanks for figuring out the units :)
The old charge air temperature formula is not signed, and as such it also won't work well if your outside temp dips below 0*C (32*F). Not that many people will see that happen, but I know I do on a regular enough basis.
humidity makes a pretty decent amount of difference on this reading as well doesnt it? I know its really humid here in NC right now, how much does that effect the ability of the intercooler to do its job?

I'm in Hawaii and it's pretty humid right now for us. Thanks to a couple of hurricanes/tropical storms out in the Pacific that have been altering our wind patterns. We haven't had a long enough non humid days for me to get a good read on my intercooler. (Our summer has been brutal compared to the last couple of years living here).

I'm running the Depo Jr FMIC, but I've been monitoring temps daily to get an idea of what the temps are doing throughout the day.

I've also read about people complaining about the redesign on the front end of the 2015's causing them to run warmer than the 13-14's.

and thank you BTW from bringing me back in the loop and for working out the equation to convert to Fahrenheit!
No problem! Bugasu did the hard part for us! lol

if this is the case... ill be coming up with something to resolve this issue

I could have sworn I've read that a few times on this forum but I'm not sure what thread it was in. Could be the big DepoRacing thread for their Monster FMIC.

My temps were first thing this morning. I'll check it at lunch time to see what my temps are running since it will be hotter out. Of course we're running 2 different FMIC's so it's not the best comparison in the world...

ive seen a couple post their results being in the 20* over ambient zone too. If something can be done to make this front end more efficient i'll be looking into it.

on a side note bugassu's equation for charge temp is reporting for me a couple degrees higher on average over the longer equation.

How did you make your displays look like this? Those look great! I went through this whole thread, did not see anything and been playing with the app, not seeing it.

TIA

Found it..............THEMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I had to make a trip to Australia for a few weeks and trying to get on the net in the outback was ridiculous. Glad you found what you needed. I just made a custom theme from one of the theme packs and added the "ST" emblem to the gauges.

ive been trying to make a set of gauges for mine for a week now.. I didnt have the themesdir folder like it said I should so I created it, then copied to their test theme to it but torque doesnt even see it..so im jealous you got yours to work.

Ah OK I will see if I can remember how I did it. I actually just downloaded one of the themes to my computer and then found an ST logo and used some graphics program to turn it into line art and the overlayed it into the theme some how and it worked. I have been meaning to do the same to another one but haven't had the time with business travel and I have to head back to AU next week for another few weeks so I won't be able to mess with it out there.
I will try and go through the process and write it down this time so other can make their own mods to the themes. If nothing else I can probably send you the theme that I modded, I think it is still on my other computer.

yeah let me know if you dont mind.... i cant even find the stock themes inside my phone by going through the folders

Use an app like ES File Explorer and toggle the setting of "Show hidden files" to ON. Then explore your SD CARD (Main memory is called SD CARD) and look for the .Torque folder that will be slightly grayed out. There should be a folder in there called "themedir" and that's where you can find the themes.

When @Bugasu@Stratified gets his custom PID's entered in to a CSV file, you can browse to the same directory of .Torque and then put them in the "extendedPIDS" folder. That list will show up with the other included custom PID's for Ford, Mazda, etc.

Apparently I'm just not seeing all folders. It's a Motorola droid maxx. It's an extra device I had laying around that I decided to use just for this purpose. May have to put it on my nexus 4. That would make a great device for running torque as well.

You should be able to find it with the ES File Explorer app. Mine wasn't showing on my phone until I turned the hidden folder option on.

I'm still working through all the Enhanced PIDs I digged out. A lot of them aren't used (for example: Flex Fuel status stuff), so that's whats taking the time. I have to check each one and verify my equations are correct. I do have one confirmed already though that I know some people want. :)
@Pacoflyer in particular requested this before I believe.

Knock Retard:
2203EC
Equation: ((signed(A)*256)+B)/-512
Units: *

This is universal across Ford models, but Ford has two knock strategy setups: Global and Per Cylinder. On Per Cylinder cars like ours, this value is Cylinder 1. The other 3 are unavailable via Enhanced PID, and require direct memory reads, which are strategy dependent.

I appreciate you taking your time and voluntarily posting this information! I just wanted to harmlessly nudge you!

I'm assuming direct memory reads would be out of Torque's ability and would be via an Access Port or something similar?

I have not tried to mess with one via Torque. Technically they are possible, the main problem is finding the locations for each strategy.
I.e. it becomes car and location specific then. A USDM California car will have different memory addresses than a USDM Colorado car, which will be different from an EDM European car, and then they can also vary throughout time.

Just put in your configuration here and see all the different strategies (some will be for the plain Focus as well):
Latest Software Part Number Information

Not only that, but that's just the latest. There are older versions that people will still be running. It's a difficult task to move into DMR land. Youll notice that SCT has to hunt it down for each one as well for the same reason.

Yikes, that definitely sounds like a headache to chase down.

Your link doesn't work for me?
