Hello everyone,

I am about to purchase a Focus ST or RS. Does anyone have an opinion on one versus the other? I have read that the RS is a bit hardcore for everyday driving (not to mention the limited availablity mark up). I absolutely love the ST (Kona Blue) is my favorite right now. I have looked at the Golf GTI and R(hate these limited availablity mark ups by the dealers). I am downsizing in all areas of life, automobile wise from a Range Rover Sport Supercharged due to death of spouse. I would appreciate any feedback that anyone can offer.

If you want to have a bit of fun witch is great for healing and such, go with the ST.

Sorry for your loss. Hang in there. If you asked this same question on the RS forums everyone will say RS. You're most likely gonna see the same thing here. If I could afford an RS you better believe that's what I'd be driving. But the ST worked with my budget and it's a plenty fun DD. Drive them both and see which works better for your day to day grind.

Sorry for your loss. I have an ST. I would love an RS. But too much money for me. I also heard that the insurance is higher on the RS. I would love to have AWD mostly for the snow.

I would go for an RS if I had some more cash laying around. Can't beat the all wheel drive and extra power stock. You won't be disappointed with the RS.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. Either one of these cars will be a blast for you. The RS is no doubt better, but it's twice the price of some STs. I'm not sure if its quite twice the car. To me the ST is the better value, and easier to come by as well. A few simple and inexperience mods can really improve it to. I think the ST is just the car you need right now, everytime I take a drive in mine it's pure joy
