Order was placed on 9/12. Production starts on 11/14. What will be wait time from order to delivery ?

I ordered mine on 6/30 and it wasn't built until 9/1. I still don't have it due to a software bug that is preventing all STs from currently being shipped. Just my luck! The hatch can open while in gear if the button is pressed. Yup. Ford needs to fix this. Who knows how long I'll wait. The car is literally already built and waiting for me! :/

On average, the wait time is 2-3 months from time of order. Why didn't you order a '16? The '17 is nearly identical to the '16. My buddy is an engineer at the plant and confirmed this. A thread is on here somewhere showing the minimal changes between the two model years.

If you're ordering a brand new car.... wouldn't you like to have the latest production year?

By the time they placed their order on 9/12/16 it's probable that the order bank was closed, and even if it wasn't if you order the car you would want the latest model year because it will be 1 model year newer than the outgoing model year, which helps with financing and placating the banks if nothing else.

Fair enough. Hopefully that was the consideration. Otherwise, no point in ordering the 2017 in my opinion. In fact, the only reason I got a 2016 was for Sync 3. Would have gotten a 2015 otherwise. Love the facelift! Gosh I can't wait to drive this car on the daily.

I suppose, but he's going to wait longer for practically the same thing. They're still producing 16s. Then again, like someone else said, maybe they're not taking orders anymore for the 16.
