Can the oil life monitor be reset by things such as a dead battery, or say installing an AP/flashing a tune? Other scenarios?

Are you trying to reset yours and you are having trouble or are just curious. I have no idea if it resets with the battery disconnect or not.

Mine doesn't have an oil life monitor so I couldn't tell you.
Yes it does its just not visible on the dash. It is viewable with the Cobb ap or forscan. Otherwise you just get the change oil soon when you reach around 10k from your last change.

It didn't for me. The interval will be saved in memory, just like your odometer reading. Much like your odometer reading it will not start at 0 if you disconnect the battery.
