IMHO the OCC is a good idea for the DI engines, being with the DI the gas doesn't wash the valves like port injection does, so all that oil is slowly but surly start building up on your intake valves. With the OCC most of that oil goes into the can and not through your engine, saving you an expensive valve cleaning much sooner than you might otherwise.
