NoVa c30R, but can I still play??
Hey guys 20+ year Volvo performance enthusiast here in NoVa. Been on this site a lot lately and noticed a lot of you all in the DC area.
I picked up a '11 Volvo c30 R-Design a couple months ago and have been looking into modding it. Being that it's a Volvo/Ford/Mazda platform (essentially the Mk2 Focus ST225) lots of parts work for me, even the new ST. I'm not use to the HUGE amount of OEM upgrades and aftermarket parts that are available for these cars vs. my old Volvo a '00 v70R that pumped out around 300AWDHP and a '92 245.
I've been really interested in the Suspension and Brake forums. I have the 320mm (12.6") brakes I'm waiting to install from the stock 300mm (11.8"), but I've been keeping an eye on the ST's 332mm (13.1") and RS upgrade. I like how the 131" reuses the 12.6" caliper but uses a new bracket. And I'm looking at the Frankenbrake upgrade, especially since I need new rear rotors. I currently have a Hotchkis 32mm hollow rear swaybar for the Mazdaspeed3 and am considering upgrading the front too.
I'm still learning what ST parts will fit my car and was hope I could meet up with some folks locally to see if they are compatible with mine. Also hope to score some of your guys take offs for cheap upgrades too..
