Hey, all.

I owned a 2013 ST for 4 years. Sold it in October of 2016. Loved that car and it got me hooked on AutoX and Track.

I had the opportunity to attend the 2017 SCCA ProSolo in Ft Myers this weekend and it was amazing. If you ever get the chance to go to a National event, I highly recommend it. VERY different than the regional events you are used to.

I moved from my MR300 ST to a 2017 Camaro SS 1LE. It's be quite the adventure learning a high HP, RWD car. They drive very differently on track and at AutoX.

I was a bit surprised to see this weekend that out of 185 entries there were 0 Focus ST entries. There were a few Fiesta STs, but no FoSTs.

At the next Match Tour (Dixie) 5 of the 11 cars are ST's.

Has no one heard of ProSolo? I would encourage you to check it out. I think the FoST will be very competitive in ProSolo (in GS).

You will probably see more FoST's playing on the west coast Pro Solo events. While the Match Tour isn't a pro solo event, all but two cars were FoST' s in GS at this recent match tour in San Diego. I was the FoST in STX.

Appears there weren't enough entries in GS to make a class so the Focus ST that was entered was moved to Bump 1. For Pro it takes a minimum of 5 entries to make a class or they will move to a Bump class based on PAX.
Thanks for understanding how the rules work.

I am registered for the National ProSolo and AutoX in Lincoln and hope I see more FoSTs in GS. It's an awesome platform and should be represented.

I'm taking the year off. Dates suck, have been moved around already (conflict with other race events), and I don't really have any interest in going to Lincoln for Nats if I can't do any pros and run the pro finale. Who knows, I may fly in and co-drive someone elses car to upset the apple cart a bit.

Should be a good GS Prosolo turnout at the Oscoda event this year. We always have solid numbers at local events in the Detroit area as well as the Ohio national events in years past (Toledo Airport, Wilmington).

Agreed that Pros are a ton of fun. Just have to register the second they open to get a spot at the popular sites.

To the OP: Your 17 1LE looks like a bunch of fun. I did a couple events in a '16 1SS last year. Great cars - would like to own a gen6 1LE some day, especially if they get classes more competitively at some point. BS would seem to be a better fit, but I can understand the SAC/SEB's hesitation to bringing a competitive $40k+ car into a class with $10-15k cars (C5's and non-CR s2ks).

It looks like my brother was actually the only FoST that entered. He had to leave early on a low note (red light).

What did you think about that autox location? I ran about half a season with the local club there (Gulf Coast Autocrossers). Very fast courses, concrete, and they have a test and tune course on saturday that stays the same month-to-month. Good formula to practice for nationals. The only downfall is that the courses never had a lot of sweepers to practice.
