I was driving down 95 and the car stalled. I restarted the car while moving and it started, and it started making a weird noise and the oil light then came on and look at the oil pressure gauge and was now sitting at zip, zero, nada, nothing. So I coast down the highway.

I called the shop that just built my motor, they said check for oil other than in the engine, check the oil pressure sensor and make sure it's plugged in. There's absolutely no oil outside of the engine, the sensor is plugged in and there is oil in the engine, damn near full, like maybe a hair from full.

It's showing P0607, which I think means the ECU is bad or something is wrong with it. I don't which fuse it is. Could this be needing a new ecu or would this just be a fuel pump?

I just had my motor built and had the same issues hopefully it is as simple as mine were. I had to replace the 2 vtc solenoids, on top of the valve cover then my oil pressure would still drop to 0 and flash with a code. I removed the oil pressure sensor next to the oil filter it is a green 1 wire sensor and made a oil pressure gauge to make sure it was reading correct which it was then ordered a new sensor. If you are nervous have the shop that built the motor do a once over if it is local and if not see if you can trouble shoot with them on the phone. Good luck man

I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding what you're saying...are you saying you replaced the VTC solenoids and that didn't work. And then you replaced the actual sensor, and that worked?

I had two different codes one was because it said my timing was retarted in bank one so I replaced the variable timing solenoids for that, vtc. My oil pressure was still doing the same thing causing the car to run very badly because it was sending the car into a limp mode. My next thought was to actually put a gauge in line with the system to manually check to see if the gauge was doing what it was suppose to do or if the reading was just off. It turned out that the sensor was faulty and was giving me a bad reading and that solved the issues that I was having. With both the check engine light and the oil pressure light.

Since you started having the issues have you checked the compression in the cylinders?[/QUOTE]

I can't check it on the side of the road. Which is where I'm still at.

This happened about 6 hours ago, I got a tow off the road but waiting for my parents to meet me here, I was halfway between my home in VA and them in FL when it happened and I don't know anyone or any shops where I'm at so I don't feel comfortable taking it anyone so it's getting towed to Florida whenever my dad gets up here. I don't have AAA to tow me whenever I want to go and my insurance would only tow me 50 miles

Sorry I did not know that, do you have any one that would be able to come and pick up the car and get it home? You have tried removing the tune and putting the stock tune back into the car waiting a few and loading your tune back into it? I would try everything that I could, remove the battery, reset the kam, ecu, all that good stuff. If anything you might have to get it towed to your house to do some further diagnostics or see if you can take it to the shop that build the motor and do you a favor and give it a once over if they are local.

My dad is on his way, I live in Virginia and the shop is by my house, my parents live in Florida. I'm literally exactly halfway between the two. He said he should be here within a hour. And we are going to get it loaded onto the trailer, and hopefully it will be easy without a winch or the car being under its own power. I'm probably also going to have to take the bumper off to get it on there. That should be easy because of all the times I've taken it off and I already pulled both the plastic front shield and my metal one under the oil pan so the bumper should just pop off if the shop didn't mess up the setup I had for it lol, by the looks of it it should just pop off because it almost did on its own getting it on the tow truck, and yes it was a roll back.

I can't detune it. I had the 2.3 stroker kit put it in. And it's big turbo'd

I'm having the O2 sensor bank one issue, is that the other issue you're talking about? It didn't show that today and it's not showing it now. It just randomly pops up, ever since I got a custom tune from freek, randomly it will pop up and disappear

No I never had an o2 sensor code that was thrown just the codes about bank one being retarded and lost communication with the general control module. I with I would have done a stroker build I just did a build 2.0 with head work on stock cams. I am tuning with DHM and they have been fantastic to work with even before i purchased the tune and just had questions. I had my motor built at a local shop as well I am near Orlando FL. Do you have a direct line that you can contact your tuner off business hours to check on the codes and possible issues?

I wanted to work with him but he wouldn't answer my questions and then started ignoring me.

That's unfortunate. I would just try and get in contact and see if they will work with you because your tuner should be able to look at one of your latest logs and say hey something didn't look right or tell you if any kind of thing was odd and off. Just out of curiosity how many revisions did you get on your tune before it was finalized?

I was on breaking tune still because I was looking for a reliable source of E85. The two places closest to my house, one being 10 minutes away and the other being 40 minutes are both very poor quality and sometimes they have none.

What did you end up finding out? And that's the dilemma that I have after i get all of my issues sorted out aka new cold side pipe, and finally get to the part where we are going to tune for the e85 mix. I ended up wiring and ethanol content gauge into the fuel system so it would take out the guess work of getting different ratings of e85 that way when i fill up all i got to do it look at the gauge and it will tell me how much ethanol is actually in the tank with out having to carry around a hard ethanol content analyzer and doing the math to figure out how much i need and how much 93 i need. The closest e station to me is about 40 minutes away from the house and is about 20 minutes away from work. I picked up a 25 gallon fuel caddy that will fit in the back of my car and when it is getting empty I will just go and fill it and put it in the garage.

So changed/checked the oil. No pieces of anything metals or plastics in it. Replaced the sensor with a mechanical gauge and the mechanical gauge showed no pressure but then the gauge on the dash showed pressure. I haven't gone farther than that because I want the shop that built my motor to fix it.
