No Cat Downpipe and CEL

I am not sure if i am posting this in the correct topic or not but i had a pretty straightfoward question (i hope) ... if i get a downpipe without the cat, i know i am going to throw the CEL all day. My question is, how do i get the car to stop throwing the CEL or should i just get the downpipe with a cat? thanks in advance!

I put on a catless dp a couple years ago and used a right angle "anti-fouler" to move the sensor out of the main flow. I had a stage 2 tune at the time and never once got a code. In later tunes, I specified that I had a catless dp but never specifically said turn off the sensor code. A couple years later I still have never seen a code from it. 2013 st2
