Howdy!

Just got my ST about 3 weeks ago. It's actually my first stick car, so really exciting to fail & to learn!

Because i've never been too much into cars until recently, I have little to no knowledge on the different parts and mods to a car. Though as of late, the forums posted here have been of much use!

Any information regarding 2016 ST's anywhere from prograde vinyl decals or car cosmetics, to specific perfomance parts like intakes & exhausts would be much appreciated!

All the information you could ever want is most likely already been posted or asked here on the forum. Just use google search to find it, as it works better than the forum search bar.

I am sorta like you and this is my first stick too, but I'm about three years into trucks/cars/utvs... Forums are great and this is one of the really good ones out there. Search first, sometimes searching google is actually easier I find. Then if you can't find any info about your question start a thread and someone will help you along or point you in the right place. You can spend hundreds of hours reading information on here trying to wrap your head around things. Start small and no matter how scary it might seem, do as much of the mods etc... yourself!

Good luck and Welcome!

So what are some cheap mods or cosmetics that you'd recommend for my ST?
The first few things I did was change my shifter set up. I installed the short shifter from Boomba, along with their new bushings. Also changed out the shift arm and those bushings. It takes a bit pulling things out of the car the first time and a little nerve wracking. But with online video help and guides on here I did it slowly, but without any real issues.

So you got the Short Shifter and Adapter plate? Anything else for that area?
I assume that helps smooth out the quick shifting?

I also have done short shifter and plate (Steeda). Since I had the areas apart, I also did the shifter base bushings and the transmission cable bracket bushings.

Good upgrades are rear motor mount and intercooler (especially if in a hot area). Tune gives you the most gain. Blow off valve, intake, and cat back exhaust are just for looks and sound on the ST.

I also recommend the Boomba shifter set-up. The stock feel is a bit spongy, and the throws were too long for my arms..
Along with the short shifter and a shifter plate, they have solid bushings for the base, and cable brackets. The solid bushings alone are probably the most inexpensive and worthwhile mods you can do.
Check out the Boomba Ultimate Shift Kit.

In the meantime, enjoy the car, and get a feel for the car, before you start throwing mods (and cash) at it...

Congrats, and good luck.

I checked this out, interested in getting it since i do feel the distance of pulling and pushing between shifts.

Do you know if the TurboSmart 50/50 BOV can be installed directly or does it need a specific tuning?

no tuning needed. And do the shifter bushings if you do the shifter, big difference I think.
