Same, but I bet the only items I've bought for the focus that are berry compliant have been the woosh products. Everything else including the fmic, castings are 100% from chinra.

Yeah, most FMIC use at least, imported cores and weld endtanks. Or outsource the whole mother trucker.

Has anyone experienced a distortion sound in the driver site tweeter ( i think?) when the seat belt chime is going off? Its not consistent. Im guessing the chimes and notifications are plumbed through the acm and into the speakers. i can describe it as either poor continuity or a speaker that is going out. sometimes it does it sometimes not.

Dropped my hot side pipe off at my buddy Kevin's shop to Weld the flange on, unfortunately don't have time to do it myself.. let's hope I eye balled placement correctly LOL. There's a bunch of room over there so not too worried about it.

The AP connect and disconnect has been annoying for me, and I'm not stoked on new lloopocation, but it's much better. I ditched my spigen mag mount and tried this new no name mount based on reviews.
Because there is no adhesive known to man that will stick to these **** cobb mounts, I bought 2 part Epoxy if it falls off again lol.

In the process of trying new locations, I discovered what a pile of crap the injection molds are for the bezel trim, and also the defrost vent. I cracked a fin on the defrost vent, and chipped off the edge of the bezel. My ADD will not let this go and I will look at it every time I drive the car. It makes me want to throw the whole car away 😩.


Also found the location for my catch cans. Behind bumper driver side

In case anyone else is neurotic like me. The dash vents are an assembled unit, and surprisingly cheap from ford. I will be ordering a replacement unit. Lol

Petg is good stuff. I made vacuum molds for casino game parts and bezels with that stuff.

I have my cable routed up to the vent assembly and snaked through the top vent slit.

No offense to the dorkus mounts but I have my own 3d printers and I like working on the 3d models as well so I always resort to modeling/3d printing my own first before buying others. Once I get off my lazy butt (and busy schedule) I planned to reprint my mount in resin. I usually do my prints in that sequence - plastic (pla and petg) for test/revision prints and then sla resin for final print.

Tried abs once and never again. PETG is awesome because of the fume reduction and the strength it nets over pla and comparable to abs without the bad of abs.

Carbon fiber infused pla is fun to print (good and bad) and taulman alloy is hecka awesome. Carbon fiber infused PETG is a beast to print but also hecka awesome. I keep the carbon infused filaments under wraps because the nozzles aren't cheap either 😟

Very cool man. Amazing to see what additive mfg has become. Many years ago I worked for local motors in chandler az. We built the rally fighter and many other things, but also were first to 3d print car out of extruded carbon and Kevlar.

So looking at this diagram, how did you guys snake the cable through the vent without drilling a hole? The duct feeds all three louvers on the vent.

Can anyone confirm?

There is definitely some airflow coming out of the top most vent but since it is permanently aimed at the window it doesn't have any "miss it" effects of being blocked. The lower louvre (in between the parking light switch and main louvre) is tied into the main louvre tunnel so whatever air passes through the main louvre is channeled through the lower louvre.

I replaced that entire piece recently and I believe that is what I observed.

I got mine from fairwayford according to the ford part number. It was a single piece in gray with the chrome accent. When you get it in hand you will see that the whole assembly replaces the old. You re-use the running light switch.
