What applications are you applying to? Street, track, auto x, rally?
So from my research and non experience from track use lol. I have read that the popular ones are pilot super sports (which I'm buying), eagle f1s, pilot sport cup 2s and pilot sport 4s. Mind you some of this data was from a couple of years ago. Nitto nt555s and nt05's were on the bottom of that list. The pilot super sports are god awful in the rain and when it's below certain temps, I think it was like below 60.

That will be a nice set up. If you can get a little more offset, it will allow you to fit wider tires Without rubbing.
Similar of what I got.

After looking at the chart it doesn’t seem to be a very dramatic difference between the RT660 an the Bridgestones . But I will check them out .

Falken 615K+ is a great track tire. Not the fastest, but very consistent and wears very well which is important if you're going to DD them. Still a big upgrade in grip over any 300+ tw tire, and much cheaper than other 200tw tires as well.

You're right, there's not that much difference at normal temperatures. However, as temperatures drop below 65F, you'll find the RT660s are more troublesome than the RE-71R. This is especially noticeable in fwd cars because there's little you can do to get heat into the rear tires.

It's unfortunate that tire evaluations rarely go into temperature effects. The tests are all designed to find out what's the best the tire can do rather than how long it takes to get the tire into good shape.

That seems to be the problem with also heating up the rear tires with a front wheel drive car takes forever. Honestly I’m going to DD the car it might seem some track time but that’s later …
The RS-71RS is an excellent track tire. I have two sets. I won’t use it as a daily driver because, it wear out faster and it’s not the best tire for a rainy day, expensive too.
Rt615k+ are what I'm using now. Leaps and bounds upgrade over firehawks. Based on chart posted above I think its a no brainer unless you're pockets are deeper than sense or there is more than just competitive spirit on the line: RT660.
