This is how it happened, I was toying with the prospect of buying a new car. I have a 2007 manual Civic sedan and where I work I'm surrounded by all my co-workers nice much newer if not brand new cars. Started looking at small cars online. Because they both were quick, small and had Auto transmissions. So I went to the local Nissan dealer to look at Altimas. Low and behold what is parked in the used section? You guessed a Focus st with 9,700 miles on it. I asked to test drive it out of curiosity. Never did I ever have so much fun. I then proceeded to drive the Altima. It was just as boring as my Civic. I then proceeded to purchase the 2013 focus st with 9,700 miles on it. I later discovered it has a modified exhaust. Not sure but looks like it goes very close to the engine yes I'm a noob. It has hid headlights as well. Paid $16,500 down from the asking of $17995.
Car still has the plastic on some things in the car such as the radio and gas pedal. Interior is in pristine condition as is the exterior. Last owner also put in weather tech mats. Car is blue. Did I do OK? I'd like to know if it's been tuned. How can I find that out?

Congratulations on the new vehicle! I think you did well for that pretty low milage. As long as you keep the car with you for a long time, I think that price is great. But a few things, first, check the battery. If it looks clean, its good. Second, make sure that the recall for the hatch latch has been done. Third, the stock RMM on that model year isnt great, if it was me, that would be my first mod. And fourth, enjoy the car! BTW, it would be nice if you post some photos. Cheers!

OK so I had the latch recall done. However I'm getting weird idle every now and then. I read the stalling section and there is plenty of info. I stall out at lights or coming off the highway at a light or stop.
It comes and goes. I can go 2 days with no issues then it happens a couple times and I'll be good for the rest of the day. If you had this problem what fixed it for you?

there is also a wiring harness recall that caused this issue so I would check that.

According to Ford the harness was already fixed . They said the previous owner brought it in for the TSB. Haven't had it checked yet. They told me over the phone.

I traded in a 2013 ST3 with 20k last week. The only thing modified on mine at trade in was a cat back exhaust also. They gave me just over 16k on trade, so I'd say you did good. Basically bought it at KBB trade in value range.
