I've always been a Ford guy, owned a 68 Fastback, 89 GT convertible, and a 95 Cobra in my teens and 20's, thankfully 60's Mustangs were cheap in the 90's. I've Had my eye on a few ST's lately since my last car got totaled by a deer(08 HHR Panel)and I've been driving a beater daily(94 saturn SL2) since.

Finally found one in the paint and trim I wanted, Kona blue base model with upgrade wheels. Taking advantage of my good credit and Fords 0% financing, can't beat it.

Anyway, went with a Focus ST for many reasons, needed a hatch for transporting my music gear, bass players always have big cabs, and really enjoying hatch's lately because of my girlfriends 02 wrx. Fuel economy is where I want to be at also(guess I"m showing my age with this concern)

After Deer, at 50mph didn't even hit the brakes, came right out of the woods on the side of the road.

Congratulations on the purchase, post up some pictures and welcome. Hopefully you don't find out the way that I did but my st stood up pretty well to a deer around 65-70.

yeah man deers suck, I've hit 3, one in a truck a long time ago, no damage, and two with that HHR, first one was minimal damage.

well no word on a delivery date yet, but I already ordered a Cobb air filter, and am trying not to order catback exhaust already... but so tempting.
