In 2013 I traded-in a 6 spd Limited 2007 Crossfire I had put 90,000 miles on for a 2.0 L Turbo AWD Titanium Escape....has everything ...even parks itself. Absolutely love it...Let's call it the wife's car....even though I put 85% of the miles on it. I then started driving a 2008 Crossfire that had mostly sat in the garage for years...back around 07-08 Mercedes and Chrysler were parting ways....bought both brand new for a total of $40,000....total stickers were about $72,000. The 08 now has 34,000 miles on it ..very pristine...BUT = AUTOMATIC. Son had a 2003 T-Bird..76,000 miles...This was one of Ford's biggest mistakes .....really bad car. I gave him my Crossfire and used his T-Bird as a trade. Now having a FULLY loaded Escape....I knew I didn't want all the fancy bull****....so I went for the 2017 ST1...only option was $30 All Seasons. Sticker $25,680.

First offer on the dealership's part was ..I write a check for about $18,500 + give them the T-Bird. I left Hard Top in my basement......by the time the 4th negotiation came around they said the T-Bird needed something like $2,800 of repair work....neither I nor my son doubt that...it was BAD. On next set of numbers they ask....is the hard top in as good of shape as the rest of the car....."Yes".....Final agreement I write check for $11,500 + sales tax ...total check = $12,980.

That was Monday....as of today...Thursday....no one has ever called to ask "Where's the Hard Top?".....If nobody calls within a month or so....Top goes on EBAY.....some want $2K.

So now I have a Kona Blue.

Is this the best 1/4 ever posted for a stock ST? They posted time slips....

On my first run of three, I launched too hard and spun to a 2.50 60-foot and a 14.90 at 97 mph. Then I left too low and launched okay, but it bogged a bit. I also powershifted, and that cuts power. It died a touch and only went 14.44 at 96.07 (2.31 60-foot), shifting at 6,000. I also found it best to leave he traction control on as it wasn't intrusive.

"On my last run, I lowered tire pressure in the front from 38 to 26 psi and launched perfect. I nailed a 2.157 60-foot, shifted at 5,600, and it ran 14.08/100 even!"

With more seat time or in better weather (DA was corrected to 2,500 feet), it would certainly be a 13-second player. And with that, look for us to dial in this ST with some mods and shoot for the 13s or quicker.

That must of been a 0-60 mph of ? 5.5sec ?

For stock, that's the best I've ever seen.
