Hey Everyone,

Long story short - I'm in the market to get a new car in about a month or two (shooting for November latest) and I've been doing some research on the ST. I've spent the last few days combing this forum soaking up any and all discussions regarding the car and I think the Focus ST has moved to the top of my want list.

I'm fairly new to the turbo car world; I've been friends with SRT-4 and boosted Civic enthusiasts since I got my license but never owned my own. The price to power ratio of the ST is right up my alley and I am really considering buying one now.

I love the knowledge and help y'all offer each other. You don't see that kinda family mentality on a lot of other forums - it's all bashing each other and bragging about who has the best car and/or knows the most. Y'all will most likely find me in the Noob threads for a while but I learn quick.

Cheers from Houston!

Welcome to the forum and hope you get the car soon. As a tip just use google to search as the search bar on the forum sucks pretty bad. Also any question you will ask has probably been asked so search first or find the noobs thread.

Yeah I've already familiarized myself with the forum and have been on a few other ones before so I've learned to search before asking. Thanks for the hint on the search bar issue.

Welcome. I hope you do pick one up if that's the car you want. Have you been able to drive one yet?

Unfortunately no. I have a buddy who used to have a Caliber SRT and i got to drive that a few times and liked it but that thing got totaled about 2.5 years ago. I know its not the same thing but its the closest I've gotten to a boost wagon. I'm so close to my goal financially/credit wise that I'm afraid a test drive right now would be enough to make me say **** it and get it right then. Trying to save enough to get a ST2 and have it under (or right at) $300/mo. Trying to stay strong cause I'm really good at spontaneously buying things when I could get a better deal just waiting a little while longer.
