I'd try to take a video of the sound and post it. Shouldn't be the Mountune BPV since it doesn't vent to atmosphere, but vents back to the intake manifold and should be pretty close to the sound the stock BPV made. Have you double checked all the hangers and made sure nothing is touching and vibrating or anything?

Getting ready to try to record the sound I'm hearing. Like I'd stated, all appears to be working fine, just have never heard this before. Possibly it's always been there, and that huge @ss Mountune muffler makes it more noticeable. I'll get a video/ sound clip up ASAP (just have to figure out how to upload a video to Youtube).
I believe in you. If I can upload a video to YouTube, anybody can. Lol On another note, how you like that mountune CBE so far? I've been debating back and forth between that and the FSWerks Stealth for a bit.

Well, didn't need to make a video. It's just the turbo spool sound that I never was able to hear before. I had a guy down the street go for a ride with me, and he confirmed my suspicions. He used to drive a GTI for a few years, and is no stranger to turbocharged cars.
I'm not unhappy with the Mountune, as the MBRP was a true love/hate relationship. In the world of aftermarket exhaust, the Mountune is quiet, but you do know it's there (yes, it is louder than stock, just not a whole lot). I can say that I wouldn't mind just a little more sound, but I have yet to put on my downpipe. Hopefully, that will give me a little bit more uummphh! In the end, I don't regret it, but if I had to do it over... I would have bought the FSWerks stealth system. I purchased the Mountune last December and it had been sitting in it's box until this week. It is kind of cool to hear the spool!
Glad you got that sound resolved. I have heard the mountune gets a little louder once it fully breaks in, so maybe in a few thousand miles. Please update me on when you install your downpipe, would love to hear your impressions after!
