Looks good! Not much knocking and negative corrections, boost curve looks about perfect for the K03, AFR is nice and consistent throughout the pull.

Just installed a depo 3.5 as well as a tune today. Stock otherwise. California 91 octane and it's 102 degrees outside.

4th gear pull, eh?

I don't see any knock counts in the log? Cylinder 1 is consistently pulling timing -- more so than the other cylinders -- and your OAR is only -0.21, so would be nice to know how many knock counts you saw especially on cylinder 1 during that pull.

The FMIC is clearly doing a good job, and I know Cali gas is not so great, but as/when (if?) your OAR gets more negative, the tune will be trying to add more timing. It would be nice to know if the timing is just being pulled "because tune" or "because knocking". If the latter, you'll need better gas.

Hope that helps,
Mark

It's at -0.66 now. I'll take some more logs when it hits -1. I'll also add knock count on there.

Ok so I switched to mountune and grabbed this log. Should I be worried about the knock count even thought there are barely any negative corrections? All tuners have never said to monitor knock count..they seemed more concerned with corrections, but now that I monitored the knock count and see it get to 5 it has me a little worried

It's hard to say how many knock counts are "bad", and generally speaking if you are not seeing big negative corrections (like, -1.5 or greater) you should be OK. But, tuning you must remember is "pay to play" so engine damage is always a risk...

The log file looks to me like the tune was doing its job: advancing timing when it could; pulling timing when it heard a knock and waiting a (very brief) moment before adding timing back. Rinse and repeat.

If it were me, I'd get a can of Torco or some unleaded 100/109 racing fuel and repeat the pull. If you see less knocks, and more actual timing (which you are currently not logging), then you know you are pretty much at the limits of your current gas. IOW, you might be better off with a less aggressive tune and/or better gas -- especially since your OAR is now at zero.

All the best,
Mark

Can you not monitor knock by degrees on this platform? Sorry I have been on the Coyote the last 3+ years and always monitored knock in degrees. Negative knock = adding timing Positive knock = removing timing. Then monitor spark advance, RPM, STFT/LTFT to get a good idea of how your looking and correcting. I am new to OAR (which is easily understood) Never monitored knock by a count. Doesnt seem to show you how severe the knock could be. I guess you can just look at the rpm/throttle % the knock occurred then look at the ignition correction. Probably just me preferring what I already know lol.

when it comes to engine specifics for tuning, im pretty new.
Do you know of a good place to go to to read about all of these things, kind of like an overview? Ive done some digging and learned a little about knock, but I would like to understand all of the timing angles better as well as the other aspects. I have yet to come across a good read that ties alot of the different aspects all together.
any info is appreciated

This log. If you scroll down to the 3 second period you see full boost, 100% throttle and 13 Afr.

Hmm...I'll switch to the low boost slot until I hear back from the tuner then. I'm not really familiar with datalog readings so I don't know by looking at it myself what is good or bad.

This is the tune I was using before when I was completely stock and I haven't got it revised since putting on an intercooler. I figured an intercooler would just make everything safer anyways so I wouldn't have a problem running it without a revision yet.

Just for comparison though...in the same conditions...vdyno shows 246hp and 334tq on this tune vs 232/298 on stratified. Not knocking anyone as I love the way both tunes drive, just pointing out the differences in the dyno numbers I noticed.

I'd read the Stratified Tech articles and the Cobb documentation; both presume you know a good deal about how modern engines work, the difference between a MAP and a MAF sensor, etc. so if you don't, there's a lot of Googling in your future!

https://www.stratifiedauto.com/ Click on the Tech Articles menu link

For Cobb, look at the AccessTuner Support page:

Hope that helps,
