Hello all,

Just picked up a 2016 Kona blue focus ST1! this is my first manual, turbo, and FWD car.. and couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Goal is.. Daily driver/autox reliable car. i traded in an 06 E55 AMG for this car and am done with high/costly maintenance straight line rockets. lol. Will update this as changes are made

Plans(in this order):
CPE stage 2 RMM
CPE lightweight FMIC or Levels FMIC
Mishimoto catch can
ATP catless or Levels catless DP
Injen or CPE intake
Greddy or Injen Cat back
Accessport v3 w/ 93 and e30 tunes w/ pillar mount

Stop there goal to sit around 280-290 whp reliably and focus on cosmetics and suspension
Cosmetics:
Work Emotion Ultimates (not 100%)
Bilstein or H&R coils
Eibach or H&R pro kit
Street scene lip and side splitters (looking into options)
Rally armor flaps (or rockblocks or w/e they are called )
Velossa tech aggression package
Tial atmosphere BOV
Charge pipes
Wilwood superlight 6 piston brake kit and SS lines
Shift knob
Short Shift kit or shifter bushings
Rubber floor mats
LED or HID conversion on headlights (need recommendations, cant seem to find anything for 15-17 models.)
Hood struts
Clutch upgrade (haven't looked into this much, need to find out what stock clutch can hold reliably)
Window Tint
Zeibart undercoat
Clear Bra
Eventually with get bigger injectors / fuel pump
Will eventually do something with the sound system

then after all that is done... I will eventually go with a turbo upgrade... not sure if ill be going with an EFR series or a GTX2967R.

My overall goal is to sit somewhere between 325-340 whp with my main concern being reliability.

Thanks for reading and will update as things change

Do Aux fuel rail with W/M kit. Then add a Cryo kit to the FMIC THEN add some NOS, a 50 shot should do. :in love:

I am already getting more smiles per galon with it being stock than i did with the AMG, to be honest. Its just an extremely fun little car to drive. nimble, quick, and an overall enjoyable experience!

Also, i am weary of WM and definitely not going to go for nitrous haha. seen too many cars blow up on nitrous. Have had a couple of buddies run WM that said they liked it but sketchy...almost all my buddies run corn and thats who talked me into it.

Nice choice on the color!

Curious as to why you went ST1 after owning an AMG Merc though, instead of ST2 or ST3. I wouldn't be able to handle going from nice leather seats to base model cloth seats!

I'd personally recommend getting the AP3 before a downpipe and intake. Those two mods won't do anything for you until you're tuned, so might as well reap the benefits of being tuned first and then move to full bolt-on.

And Work Ultimates would look killer in GT Silver or Metal Buff! Just don't change your mind and get T7R's or I will find you and end you

Well to me the biggest differences (that were somewhat important to me) were speakers, headlights, and seats. I have braud shoulders and not so small hips... so the recaros weren't very comfortable for me. And for the money i could do the headlights and an aftermarket sound system for much cheaper than the cost to upgrade packages. Plus the dealer gave me an offer i couldn't refuse (19.8k out the door). I thought about getting the AP3 right after the FMIC.. i think i may do that because you are right they wont do as much without a tune.

for the Works i was thinking gun metal grey. Trust me im not a fan of T7R's XD

Yeah i am probably going to stay stock (maybe do a few cheap cosmetic things on my list) for a few months as ... this is my first manual car (prior to this and the merc i had a auto g35 coupe with full boltons and a protune that i loved) and i am still learning.. ive been driving for 4 days now and ive put a little under 350 miles on it because i took this week off work to learn basically. I think i am getting much better than my first day :p still got to work on getting my feet in sync with eachother when shifting from first to second for some reason that is a rough shift point for me.

No worries on the 1st to 2nd...for some reason I still have an occasional little "hop" almost daily at some point and I've driven stick for years. It's just because the torque coupled with how SHORT 1st gear it compared to the rest, really messes up the timing you need to do it perfectly. You'll get the hang of it!
