Car is a 2016 st3
strategy is GMDG1
communication is CAN ISO-14229
programmer is sct x4

I can monitor measured afr as a standard ratio (14.7) with the canned 08-newer gas gauges, but of the 430ish items validated from my ecm with livelink I can only view it as lambda. I've got a conversion table so I can use it for reviewing logs, but I don't use lambda every day and don't immediately recognize when I'm getting too lean like I do with the standard ratio. I've got most all of the rest of my supplemental gauges and logging parameters sorted out except that one. Am I totally missing something?

Don't mean to go off topic but Hmm I have the exact same strategy but I never figured out how to monitor intake temp/ other important ones. Only ones I can use is coolant temp, oar and boost psi. I'll see if I monitor afr right now.

Cool. Let me know. What all are you trying to monitor? I may be able to help you out with some of it.

What I don't understand is that using the generic pre installed datalog/gauge setup, my car displays and logs afr as a numeric ratio beautifully, but it doesn't come up on my list when trying to create a new file. Well, it comes up with the exact same name, measured afr bank 1, but it's in lambda.

Yea I get you that is weird, just got the car in the garage let me mess with it a bit I'll keep you updated. Also is everything up to date? Live link, sct firmware, and sct tune database?

Checked everything for updates day before yesterday. Everything is good to go in that regard.

Get a hold of Torrie or SCT. I had the issue when the 15's first came out. They will add whats not there for your strategy. Also do not use OBO. Use only DMR and PID's
Torrie will send me his config file when I order the custom tune, which will be coming before too long. Im really wanting some good logs and seat time with the canned tune so I get a better grasp on all the operating strategies and be more specific when telling him the kind of changes I want made in the custom tune.

And yes, I'm only using dmr and pids. I've actually logged duplicate parameters that were offered in both to find out which ones had the best resolution.
What's the sct strategy guy's name? Blivins?

Can you help me figure out how to get these parameters to work? I have no dmr parameters, only pid and obd. Only a few work out of 241 I've literally have tried a few at a time to see which ones really work. The problem I'm having is for example intake temp either the value doesn't change or skips up every minute even if it's the only parameter being data logged on my computer. Any help would be great

Hey man I figured out what you're talking about, all you have to do when selecting the pid is go to where it says units and click on it and you'll be able to change it to lambda, 14.7/14.35/14.64

Wow....how did I miss that?! Thanks bro!

How are you loading/validating your list? I've got 271 dmr and a total of 443 items if I create a config file while connected to the car.

I'm connecting the device to the computer and to the car then validating all items but I only get 241 items...hmm everything is updated as well. Is there anything you've done specifically to get the dmr's?

Nothing special that I know of. First one I created was using the "guide me" option. Then click "I want to create a datalog configuration file". Connect to car and laptop, follow directions, checking communication, then selecting "car is available" & "validate all items"
That's how I got my list. What specifically are you looking for, I might be able to upload a config file for you to merge with your list.

Hmm that's exactly the same thing I do, are you on stock tune? I have a ots tune from freektune would that matter? I'm so frustrated with it haha I just want to be able to log any parameters when I want. But yeah that would be great for now, id really appreciate it. I'll pm you when I have figured out which ones I'd want. Thanks again bro

I'm running sct's canned 93 tune. I wouldn't think it would matter since it's all written based on our strategy. Its 215 am here, so I'm probably gonna send you a file and call it a night.

For whatever reason, I don't see a way to pm an attachment. I just put this one together real quick. This list should cover most of your logging bases. Hope it helps.
