do you own a multimeter?

I would recommend going to an auto part store like Advance or O'Reilly and doing the battery scan first, to check volts and cranking amps from the battery and a startup, then volts from the alternator while vehicle is running.

Good strong well charged batteries should put out 12.4v ish and 600 or more cranking amps, depending on battery spec.
while the vehicle is idle/running you should see 14v

If that checks out, then you at least know its not the battery or alternator.

CHECK THE AGS FUSE FOR HAHAS. usually if that fuse is blown the car will go into over voltage and up the voltage to 15.0 volts causing the battery light to come on
