:big smile:Not with that kind of attitude. Remove the rev limiter, problem solved.
Hand brake turns...Hmm...my biggest gripe....to be honest, the majority of them I've more or less solved.
Wasn't satisfied with the ST3 audio system...replaced the speakers, sub, and added an amp. Now I'm satisfied.
FWD traction was an issue after modding...Cobb made their own traction control system and while it doesn't solve the issue completely, it help significantly.
I've never had any CEL issues so I can't comment there.
I guess the biggest one I have that I can't really solve is the turning radius. The amount of K turns or even W turns (as I like to call them) needed to turn around on most streets is a bit ridiculous. But I don't really need to do them that often so I don't really care.
did you do a writeup on the speaker, sub, amp replacement? interested in your resultsHmm...my biggest gripe....to be honest, the majority of them I've more or less solved.

This X 1,000,000My biggest grip would have to be how easily the paint chips :crying:
Yup! Here you go. It came out well, in my opinion, considering I was on a budget of $1000 and had never done wiring like that before. The system has a much better kick to it now.did you do a writeup on the speaker, sub, amp replacement? interested in your results![]()
Sure. I'm not an engineer or anything so I don't know all of the facts or correct terminology but you can read about it directly on Cobb's website here. Basically the stock traction control system decreases the power input and closes the throttle (I believe). Cobb's traction control system instead retard's the engine's ignition timing by calculating a lot of different variables while the wheels start to spin. Obviously this has a limit, though. For Stage 3 cars and some (relatively small) big turbo's, this can help immensely. However with BT ST's pushing 400whp+, I don't think anything can really get that kind of power down. Can you elaborate on the COBB traction control system?
I think you are mistaken. 2nd gear redline puts you just over 60 mph. Not sure what you're doing wrong.I can't hit 60mph in 2nd gear.

Especially when you compare it to a mk7 GTI, when I theory we are suppose to be on a higher tier than it. But on just a tune they make 260-270 whp. SmhIf I had to say something it would be the amount of money that it takes to make any kind of real horsepower.
YESSSSS!! Every other color has some kind of flake or pearl in it! They totally forgot to give the Red some loveEspecially when you compare it to a mk7 GTI, when I theory we are suppose to be on a higher tier than it. But on just a tune they make 260-270 whp. Smh
My 2 biggest bugs are 1, the front end could have come with a oem lip. To me it just looks plain. And 2nd is the red paint. Its just red paint, just flat. Nothing else added, no flakes, no pearl no nothing just a plane jane red paint.

Has this ever happened to you. You're driving in 1st gear very slow. Like in a parking lot, if you let go of the brakes and clutch it actually speeds up significantly. Like if a mini boost kicks in. Any other car will usually slow downMy biggest gripes (2016 ST2):
Horn honks twice if you take the key out of the car with it running. I know there is a couple of work-arounds for this, but it still gets me on those cold mornings at 7am when I forget. Closing the door so it doesn’t latch all the way is what I usually do.
Rev hang. I’ve never had a car do this…it’s just weird.
Lack of engine braking. Need to be over 3,500 to get any decent deceleration. I hear people saying it’s all due to low compression but I have a hunch the ECU is affecting this too, just like rev hang.
Not a fan of the convex side mirrors. If you really need these, they should be on the lower portion of the mirror instead of the top. Mine are already pointed pretty far out as I have to lean over to see the rear door handles.
The radio takes too much attention from the road to operate. I’d love it if the ‘source’ button would ignore 3 pages of XM that I refuse to pay for. A bit more customization would be great too.
I don’t have any issue with the turning radius. Sure a ‘lower case n turn’ usually isn’t usually feasible, but I feel like this is a fair trade-off for the handling characteristics.
All and all mine is a pretty petty list. List of loves would be much longer.
It retards ignition timing which cuts torque output for a fraction of a second which allows the weight of the vehicle to load onto the front wheels increasing traction. Its available with Cobb OTS maps now on the AP. It helps, although I don't agree with everyone as to the effectiveness. I'm in the camp that is barely noticeable. Cobb references two 30-50 MPH pulls. With Factory TC on and Cobb TC off, the run took 2.01 seconds. With Factory TC off and Cobb TC on and set to the ideal level of slip, the same pull took 1.8 seconds. Again, this is really only noticeable if you are racing the car.Can you elaborate on the COBB traction control system?
