Now let's see. Early in July I ordered the 275bhp upgrade from Mountune via my own computer. For some strange reason their system rejected my payment, supposedly because it read my computer, NOT my card as being a fraud risk??? They also didn't notify me of this, but still took my money. This led me to think my order had been accepted and to wait for an order that would never come. In the end I phoned them and was told what had happened. And I emphasize here that I had to phone them to find this out, they never contacted me. Eventually I had my money returned and was told that I should use another computer. Once the money was returned I checked their website and found that the 275 set had all sold out and was told that I had to wait about 2 weeks for them to get another shipment.

Weeks passed and they eventually got the 275 back in stock. Quickly I rushed to get my order down only to be told that I was pushed to the back of the queue and I'd have to wait until they got round to me! That was about 3 weeks ago now. Last week I phoned again and was told that I'd get an e-mail by about Thursday or Friday. Nope, the e-mail never came. So, yesterday I phoned yet again and was told that I'd get an e-mail that day. Nope, I still haven't been given an e-mail to say it's been posted.

To say I'm not happy is an understatement. I've been f***ed around for 2 months with still no sign of my order, and that's after I've paid them almost £1,500! And yep, this is Mountune I'm talking about here, not some secondary dealer. It's as if they got my money and just given me the finger! Anyone else had this trouble ordering from Mountune?

Not trying to minimize your issue, but I want to note that this is Mountune UK you appear to be dealing with (basing that on your payment amount). Figured I would highlight that as most here are going to have dealt with Mountune USA. As a result, the incoming advice/comments might not all be applicable to your situation.

Oh yes I understood that as soon as I started the thread, but I take the attitude that it's the same company wherever it is. But it's not so much the payments but rather the service, like not keeping one in reserve until I could reorder, then pushing me to the back of the queue once they got restocked. Then there's telling me that I'd get an e-mail that never came. That sort of "customer service" is possible whatever country you come from.

It is and it isn't. You are correct that it is the same company. However, the customer service operations, websites, and even Facebook pages are different between Mountune UK and Mountune USA. So the issue could happen regardless of company, but the response will likely be different. Again not trying to minimize your problem. Just pointing out that the typical suggestion of call Randy or Ken or Dan or... that works great for US customers is not going to work for you.

Hopefully they step up to the plate and start handling your issue. I have had nothing but excellent customer service, fast response time, and prompt followup from Mountune USA.

So the whole US division is nowhere near as bad as the UK division? Interesting. Maybe they think we in the UK will just sit back and take a wait of almost two months, with all the f***ing about without complaining? Despite what you might think you've been quite helpful with your replies.

For now, at least, they seems to be. They are new here in US and are probably trying to make a good impression.. Good customer service is always important, if your new or old..
Sorry for your run of bad luck.

Thanks. I should be used to it by now. I don't know if I'm unique here, but sometimes it seems like you can't get anything done in this country, even if you pay almost one and a half grand for it! This treatment reminds me of the Fawlty Towers episode "The Waldorf Salad", where the only customer who wont put up with Basil's s***y service is the American. All the English customers just put up with it.

I thought I should let you all know that, after two months I've finally, finally got my order! Even the garage where I'm getting it done couldn't believe I've waited all this time. I've checked and it all seems to be there, so I've got an appointment for the 21st of September. I'll keep you all updated on the outcome. The garage used to be a Ford outlet and I've been told that the head mechanic who'll be working on it has been working on Fords for 30 years, so it seems promising.

I've gotten the job done (I hope), but I have a few questions:

1. When I went to pick the car up I was told that I had to instruct the mechanic what mode I wanted? What are all the modes and what exactly do they do; what are their effects on performance?

2. Are the modes selected once the mTune has uploaded its remap?

3. The mechanic seemed to think it would be better for air flow if I keep the cap off the end of the air filter. Is this right, or am I asking for trouble by keeping it off?
