Has anyone attempted or considered replacing the big ugly piece of MIC plastic filler on the Rear Lower Valence with a proper mesh piece? I am considering this myself but wanted to see if it's been done already for help/ideas.

interested to see what your plan is.

It is my least favorite part of the car, but it has grown on me.

it looks like it is just held in with clips, but i think it might be structural for the lower part of the bumper as well

In for ideas. I prefer mk3.5 front end, but mk3.0 rear

I'd love to see a replacement piece (plastic, or carbon fiber), with a smooth, concave curve, that shows off the cool looking rear valance. That weird stock ribbing, and matte plastic finish, just breaks the lines in an unfortunate way.

It's expensive, but you could swap for the RS rear bumper.
You would have to change up the exhaust too. It's been done before tho.

RS bumper :

Or the Loder1899 rear valence:

Or the SS Tuning rear valence:

Im sure those valences are going to be pretty expensive with shipping, unless you can find one that ships from the states. But those are the best looking options IMO. Goodluck and post a picture if you decide to get one.
