Anyone running the Mickey Thompson Street Comp in all fours in 245/40/18?

Is going low/borderline 200's on the UTQG the only way to get a softer more grippier tire? Or do I have that wrong? Street comps are supposed to have excellent grip.

I know it's limited with FWD.

OEM Eagle F1 AS2 are rated at 240 and they're not very grippy.

My F1's are at 5/32nds and I'm looking for replacements.

I autocross and visit the drag strip occasionally during the summer. Other than that I don't do much spirited driving. I don't want to end up replacing them next year lol

Thanks!

Try some and find out.

Just invest in some tires for each discipline. You'll save your daily use tires from additional abuse.

Slicks will easily last two seasons and that's if you go to the track once a month. You'll get at least two seasons out of a set of Auto-X tires especially if you never drive on them.

Get some tire totes and a wall rack from Amazon.

Great, thanks! Too bad I can't return them if I don't like them lol
