Hi Guys! As i'm sure a lot of you guys know, we purchased a totaled 2015 Focus ST many months ago and have been working very hard to restore the car and convert it into our new Limited FWD Class Time Attack Machine! We have started going back and doing a small write up in many sections on the car and i plan to post links to the write-ups on our website every time there is a new update. Ive attached a link to our first article about buying the car and doing some body work repair. Next week we should be posting our article on weight reduction, which should by far be the most in-depth weight chart for the Focus ST every written. Subscribe to see more updates in the future! Thanks! -Brian

we are currently at about 800lbs taken off of the car :) and thats including after we add back in the weight for the aftermarket parts (seats, harnesses, upgraded parts, ect) This chart should have documented weights for basically any piece that can be removed or cut off of a fully loaded 2015 Focus ST St3 package car haha

Cool Thanks for this as i am in the process of putting my focus on a weight reduction plan also once the TT season is done. Cooling is certainly an issue with this platform as you increase HP or drive the car to its limits. Currently I have the CSF radiator in my vehicle as well as the Mishi oil cooler. The Mishi oil cooler alone will not solve the over heating issues associated with this platform. I hope you chose the improved core they offer as the original was of little help. Perhaps the better core will assist with improved cooling. Since your modding away I would strongly encourage you to fab a front deflector system to improve air flow to the radiator. This is where most track enthusiasts are pursuing improved cooling currently. The other issue that plagued this vehicle was brakes. This can be easily resolved with one of the packages currently available on this forum as well as using brake cooling ducts (problem solved). I can't say enough about the ESSEX AP racing brakes they have alleviated any concerns i once had about the brakes on this car. Please keep the posts coming and don't drop off the radar like the previous racing ST lol. Lots of like minded individuals chasing the short comings of this platform on the track looking for tangible solutions to identified problems because this car kicks ass and is a safe enjoyable vehicle on the track.
