It's heat activated. So when you're grabbing the handle it doesn't get the proper warmth. If you notice when you're power washing your car as well it unlocks and locks the doorSo it's freezing nasty wet weather here in St Louis this weekend and my intillegent access stopped working today. Won't lock or unlock. Is that system sensitive to weather? Back in the garage, all is well.
Yeah it has to be I believe 25-32 degrees in order to work.Yup...out all day again today in the teens and it doesn't work. Just FYI.
It's 21F here today and my IA worked fine, and it's worked fine closer to 0F as well, so no it's just either ice build up on that particular car or something with the sensors themselves. Not an inherent flaw with the technology below a certain temperature.Yeah it has to be I believe 25-32 degrees in order to work.

Are you sure? I was thinking it was a capacitive sensor, and reacts to human touch, and the water from winter interferes with it. Also if i spray the area with water while washing my car, it activates. It's heat activated. So when you're grabbing the handle it doesn't get the proper warmth. If you notice when you're power washing your car as well it unlocks and locks the door

I had this TSB done on my previous '13 Titanium about 5 months ago. This IS the fix for it.I had an issue where they would work intermittently in the winter when it was really cold out. Turns out some water had gotten into the door handles and was affecting the sensors. There was a TSB out (not sure if it's still available) where they take apart the door handles, clean/dry them out, and then coated the inside of them with a Teflon spray to essentially waterproof the handles. I haven't had a problem since it was done. Might be something to look into.
