The eFocus mount is a huge improvement over stock, and doesn't increase NVH. It's not as solid as some after market mounts, but is still very effective. The passenger side upper mount is as much of a joke as the stock rear mount. I replaced both with the ones from the TSB (eFocus and revised upper) - it helped a great deal and I can't get the car to bang anymore.
The TSB only replaces the RMM and UMM? Do you think since the eFocus is not as solid, it will need to be replaced again down the line?

No, it replaces all mounts, I just replaced what I could get my hands on quickly. The eFocus is very, very solid, just not as hard or solid as some of the aftermarket mounts like Cobb or CP-E.

This poll should have included us who have replaced just the RMM and are happy now. I myself have never had the bang, then again I replaced the RMM within the first 3 weeks knowing about the MM issue.

i am waiting on the TSb to be done...parts arent in until late October "huge maybe"....my car bangs hard...i want to drive this car hard at times and wont due to this bang...Ive been waiting since July.

Isnt the tsb replace the clutch cable too? For those that have changed the rmm, umm, and trans mount, there was no need for the clutch cable parts?

I have no faith in the techs down here at the ford dealerships and i am pretty close to just ordering my own mounts....probably going to go with steeda. But would this affect our warranty?

Anyhow, i am dissappointed with ford taking so long to get these parts in...i have told cuistomer service that i'd like to just buy my own mounts but they said it would void my warranty which i think is a crock of sh*t!

If reading on Mobil devices with the app it is not possible to participate in polls AFAIK.

Having had the TSB done for almost a couple of months now, I have no complaints! No bang and the car seems much more connected. The aftermarket mounts are great, but most do say that they do add NVH where the mounts used on the TSB do not.

The TSB mounts do add extra NVH, maybe not quite as many as the aftermarket ones but being stiffer under certain conditions while idling or moving slowly I can feel the vibrations more strongly.

Not in my car they don't, and believe me I am so anal I would have noticed!
Must just be my car or commute then I guess. It's not violent like I've hear the aftermarket ones to be but the vibration when at idle particularly over a certain over pass on the way to work in the morning or when first starting off seems harsher than stock. Most of the time I'd agree though that there isn't too much extra NVH, but occasionally it seems to rear its head on my car now after the mount change. I can't say I recall feeling that in the first 6000 or so miles as much as I did after the TSB mounts went it.

I'm going that aftermarket route myself... they're cheap enough and I can do the mod at my convenience. With the TSB route, the dealer has to verify the problem first (one appointment with someone else beating on my car) and then another appointment to install it (and most likely another beating). If someone's going to beat on my car, I'd rather it be me. :big smile:

Just a quick question. I just purchased a Turbo Tech upper mount. After looking at the plastic insert. I am concerned if there is a lot of vibration with this mount. I would hate to install it and then have a lot of vibration. The new Cobb rear mount vibrates slightly at idle with the AC on, but it is livable. Thanks for your input.

I talked them out of them beating on my car, or having me show them, took a little while but they agreed no safe area around the dealership for such a test.

I used powerflex Bushings to fix mine. TSB is taking forever. Also changed my Launch Control (via cobb ap) to 2200 rpm. Much better this way. No wheel hop what so ever.

Got the TSB and it didn't fix the problem completely so I got a COBB RMM. Mostly fixed but still get the bang occasionally, mostly in a less than ideal 1-2 shift.
