I've done nothing but oil changes and tires and have had literally no problems. Granted I drive pretty conservatively most of the time, just play around with occasionally.

2013 ST3, bought new, at 6K got Steeda 93oct stage1 tune + FMIC, at around 15K added intake, manifold spacer and upgraded to Steeda's stage 2 tune. Now car has 54K miles on it, had a few track days and autoX'es. Runs fine, last Blackstone oil test was not indicating any issues.

I did moneyshift it around 10k miles. Went from redlining 3rd into 2nd. Car went into limp mode. I change my oil with Mobil 1 every 7k miles.

I do a WOT pull at least once a week. So far so good.

Engine Mod Summary: MBRP Catless turbo back, CP-e intake, Depo beast FMIC, Tial BOV, symposer delete, custom aluminum charge pipes, Stratified 2-port aux-fuel, ATP GTX2867R Gen 2 With .64 A/R, Fuel-it ethanol content sensor.

I've had the car since new and done all mods myself in my garage. She's currently my daily driver and even on ethanol will return almost 30mpg if I can resist driving hard.

When it's not my daily driver I'll probably get a built crate motor, but I haven't had any trouble so far.

Really early on my purge valve needed to be done. I also had condensation issues on a 2000+ mile drive with the stock intercooler that made the car bog and stall on stops.

I've always performed regular maintenance myself, oil changes every 5-7k miles(Amsoil), plugs every two oil changes (NGK LTR7IX-11 (6510) 1-step colder).

Uhhh ran Cobb ots for a bit, ran stratified for a long time and switched to Tune+ roughly two years ago w/ lifetime tuning.

I beat it pretty often doing roll racing, beating up Mustangs, DSG GTIs, Type-Rs and my favorite: my buddy's Fbo RS. Biggest losses were a cammed GTO and big turbo (precision 6266 I think) STi.

~400whp I guess, never dynod. No issues knock on wood

Mileage when acquired: 40,000
Mileage when first tuned: Mountune custom tune when new
Current tune: Cobb OTS stage 3 since 25,000 miles(done by second owner)
Mods: Cobb turbo back, intake, and intercooler with charge pipes. Damond top/side motor mounts with a Cobb rmm. Damond catch can. 2.3 liter TB. Limited slip diff(unsure of brand, installed by second owner), Cobb short shift kit, and a few other goodies(see sig).

I have no idea about the first owner but as far as I know there were no major repairs by the second. Second owner had it serviced always at my local dealership, and I always have it serviced there as well. I have had the car since 40,000 miles or so and a little over a year. The only issue I have had is a sticking BPV(Mountune) at 65,000 miles. My dealership replaced the BPV with a stock unit on a new turbo under warranty as ford doesn’t replace just the BPV. The Mountune unit was dirty, I cleaned it but no matter what it would bind and stick. Stock BPV is working well.Compression is good at 67,000 miles currently and car runs strong

Bought it used from Carvana with 20,000 miles. I paid a little too much, but it was in perfect shape. At 25 thousand Unleashed 93 tune, catless dp, turbosmart bov, resonator removed, colder plugs. Added FMIC and a e30 tune at 30 thousand. Has been flawless so far. Just rolled over 40 thousand. Other than oil, filters, plugs, and a transmission oil change. No problem. Every log looks good. I've virtual dynoed it on the same stretch of road after each time modding it. Last virtual dyno was at 280 hp and 376 tq.

About to take it to its second trip to the tail of the dragon and surrounding roads in early July. The drive up and back is the only time I go back to 93 from the e30. Too much of a hassle to find and test e85 on a road trip.

Went FBO custom E30 tune at about 36,000. Have been running the corn juice exclusively for a year and a half plus and 50,000. Not a single issue but for cleaning the valves three months ago and now I get a P04DB code that sometimes lights the CEL. Other than that nothing, not even the purge valve recall as Nazareth Ford didn’t have the parts last July.

I like this thread I'll contribute

Car: 2016 ST
Mileage When Acquired: 45
Mileage When First Tuned: 9K
Present Mileage: 31k
Tuner/Tune: Freektune dyno tune
Engine Mod Summary: RS airbox and AEM filter, custom 2.5' catback, Mountune FMIC, TB torque gusset, Mountune RMM.
Issues: Exhaust VTC solenoid got stuck once and the car would barely run, dealer was able to free it up, hasn't happened again since but I have my eye on it. Fouled a set of plugs after a ton of highway pulls all in a row, swapped plugs and haven't had it happen since.

Notes:
  • Originally messed with cobb tunes for maybe 100 miles, flashed back to stock.
  • Bought a Strat OTS+ tune at 9k with crackles, ran the non-crackle map until about 24k
  • Bought the Freektune Dyno tune mileage was about 25k at the time of the dyno pulls.

Car: 2014 Focus ST MK3
Mileage When Acquired: 100km off the train from the Michigan plant in April 2014
Mileage When First Tuned:100km FRPP tune installed at dealership before pickup
Present Mileage: Just about to hit 160,000km still going strong
Tuner/Tune: Myself with some help from Ford Engineers and others postings at this site. I love this site and thank you to the fellow ST owners and the engineers
Engine Mod Summary: M-FR1-FST FRPP (tune, plugs, exhaust, snorkel) along with Turbosmart shortie BOV and Roush intake.
Issues: Spark plug fouling Cyl 4 @ 21,540km plug gap was the problem Ford Racing Canada sent me new ones at no cost back then. This vehicle had the fuel tank deformation recall 18S32 at 152,000 km and all parts replaced by the Dealer in Cochrane, Alberta. At the same time a new upgrade to the FRPP tune was done after the PCM upgrade.

Basically I have done all of my own maintenance, with extensive research and help from you guys here at this site and the engineers at Ford I know this vehicle pretty darn well, so thanks to you all out there :) Car has never had any other plugs in it other than the Denso ITV 24's always gapped around .028" and re-gapped every 10,000 or so km and new ones replaced around ever 30,000 km when tuned and the stock ones used when on stock tune. Vehicle uses only Mobil 1 synthetic for the oil and filter and is kept up with the other suggested maintenance practices found in the manual. Nothing but 91, 93 and rarely 94 octane has been put into the fuel tank. 93 from Shell here in Alberta is the best for this car in terms of mileage and performance. 94 gives a slight noticeable performance.

The Ford tune using the big blue ProCal device has been tuned/tuned down to stock by myself many times both before and after getting other recall work done from the dealership or before/after winter at which point when its at stock calibration the plugs used are stock heat range.

This vehicle has never seen a track. It is a daily driver with spirited driving techniques which I do tend to drive with a heavy foot. Never switch gears below 3000rpm. Only a few times in its life has this thing seen red line.

Now the constant wheel balancing on this car is another story as well as some minor paint deterioration/chipping at spots other than the front bumper/grill/hood which is expected at this far into the cars life. Keep in mind severe winter driving and basically no garage to store it in for the majority of its life

I also own a 2013 focus S that the girl drives. The tools and most parts needed are identical which makes life easy. That vehicle is also around the same km's with no problems on it as well.

2014 ST1. Purchased new. Ford Racing Tune installed after first fill-up with Premium fuel. (Does Ford tune count?)
No other engine mods. Approaching 50,000 miles. I just periodically change oil, plugs and clean the air filter now and then. Runs fine. No problems. Great gas mileage when I behave myself.

2014 ST1 package
Mileage When Acquired: 18k
Mileage When First Tuned: 30k
Present Mileage: 61k
Tuner/Tune: Stratified with datalog revisions
Engine Mod Summary: Full bolt on
Issues: None to date, thank God (knocks on wood). Tune is done on winter fuel mixture, but I've been running it all year for a couple of years now. Thinking of getting new tune done with Cp-e for summer fuel and adding an e30 slot.

Car: 2017 ST purchased new
Mileage When First Tuned: 8100 miles
Present Mileage: 25200
Tuner/Tune: Cobb AP and Stratfied tune 93 octane
Engine Mod Summary: Just a midpipe, colder plugs and RS airbox

Zero problems, tune even survived the recall flash for the vent valve. Does make 1st and 2nd gear pretty useless unless you feather it. 3rd and 4th roll runs have surprised everything from a Porsche to an AMG Mercedes!
