My 2018 ST has recently (since the temperature has gotten Very cold) started to rev very high when I shift up or push in the clutch in general. It doesn't seem to happen when I downshift, just up shifting or popping it into neutral.

Usually it pops up to 3000-4000 rpm although I have actually caught it on video going up as high as 5000. And, of course, when I took it in to the dealership it had warmed up and stopped doing it so nothing was fixed.

Anyone experience anything like this before and maybe know what could be causing it?

PCV leak or another leak between the throttle body and valves can cause this. Check PCV lines first... That would be my first assumption.

Had a 2018 with the same issue. Take the gas pedal assembly out and lube the inside of it. I think @MailmanMike had some pics of how he did it. I followed the "how-to" and have had no issues since then
