I've searched these forums and the internet for hours and I can't quite seem to find anything that matches what I'm experiencing. When I get above 5 psi, the engine starts making a very high pitch "eeeee" sound. At first it almost sounded like an electronic beep. It really doesn't sound like air or the turbo as the sound is constant and does not fluctuate but it does get louder with more boost. It also doesn't happen every time I'm in boost and the angle of the road seems to have an impact (happens less going downhill). Also, as I mentioned its not audible below 5 psi. All of my logs look normal. The car is driving fine (although I haven't gone above 10 psi of boost out of fear).

I installed the FSwerks intercooler and the Roush cold air intake kit a few weeks ago. I didn't have access to the instructions on the intercooler at the time (no CD drive) and now that I've reviewed them, I did over torque pretty much everything on it - is it possible the intercooler is vibrating from boost pressure because its mounted too firmly? I'll be redoing it this weekend but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I'll try and get a sound clip in which you can hear it but I don't think I'll be able to as the sound is too high pitched. Its very similar to the sound made when running a wet finger across the top of a crystal glass.

Thanks in advance

I had one that do sounded like letting the air out of a balloon while pulling the end in opposite directions. A very high pitched squeak

Yeah after my drive home today that is what I'm thinking. It is definitely louder in the morning when everything is cold. We broke 95 F today and i think the heat helped close the gap as I barely heard it. thanks for the input, I'll have to rip everything apart this weekend.

Don't rip it apart. On the 2013-14 st you can remove the plastic under the car the connect the bumper and belly pan. Once removed you can access the charge pipe clamps from there. Depending on how you situated them you may be able to tighten down on them
