TSB- technical service bulletin
it is watt ford uses when something is not a recall, but rather an issue to address on certain vehicles within a model.
Close. A recall is performed whether you car has the problem or not. Example would be the fuel pump recall on the early Focus. If you car fit the VIN range, the recall was performed no questions asked. A TSB is only done if the car exhibits the problem. This is why you need to take the tech out so they can hear the bang or if your car is stalling out, the CEL needs to be there and be able to re-perform the problem. If these were recalls and your VIN/Model were included, you could have the work performed no questions asked.

Another one I can't seem to find a definition for. What are these stages everyone keeps labeling their mods too..

Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
1. Is intake with a tune.
2. Is intake and larger intercooler with tune
3. Is everything above and a downpipe.
4. Is everything above and a big turbo.
