I have a misfire on cylinder 4 and very low compression on that cylinder only, I’ve heard the ringlands tend to go on these engines but I want to get inside and diagnose exactly what is wrong whether it be the valves seals, ringlands or anything else. No warranty. Can you remove the cylinder head without taking the entire engine out? Can’t seem to find anything on this but maybe I haven’t looked hard enough

I appreciate the digging! I have enough space to pull the engine so I reckon I’ll get to it

Maybe drop a borescope down there first...swap an injector...swap a coil pack...leak down test...what’s the plug look like?

Unless of course you have done all that, just wouldn’t wanna pull the engine to find out you have a bad valve ?

Bore scope is the right move, low comp and missing is usually a dead giveaway of a failed ring land on these motors.

What tune and mods were you running if any?
