Does anyone know how to remove the handbrake cover, the black leather part? I tried to move the clip off and wiggle it out but it seems like its glued on?

The rubber grip needs some force to remove - I replaced mine with the Ford CF one:

There is a tab on the rubber grip. It needs to be lifted up. You will then be able to slide the grip off.

Was the old cover glued on? I moved the plastic clip that holds it and I still cant manage to remove the cover.

I did lift up the tab, and I still cant get the cover to come off. Do you know if it is glued on? I am having a hard time trying to remove it, even with the tab lifted with a flat head.
