I think the performance may be negligible--between the green filter and any other performance filter. All I noticed when I swapped my stock filter for green filter was significantly more intake tract noise. This is further emphasized if you remove the cover off the airbox. If there was any more power to be had, my butt dyno didn't notice a thing. Then again, I find the inconsistent performance characteristics of this car to be somewhat unsettling. I'm going to attribute that to the weather and stock intercooler until both of those change.

I would recommend the AEM... I have ran a green and of course stock filter and I don't want to keep spending on replacing the factory filter. And I really don't want to deal with cleaning a filter with solvent and oiling it every oil change.

Green filter = no = because oiling sucks (goes for any oil based filter) Also claims out there that say the oil can clog up MAP sensors and other issues resulting because of oil from filter. I would assume this is from over oiling the filter by rookie boy racer mechanics.

Stock filter = no = because you have to keep spending money

AEM filter = yes = You buy it and has warranty for 1million miles (it is a K&N with a AEM sticker). SUPER easy to clean! literally spray from inside filter out and let dry before installing... no oil, no mess, no solvents.
