On my 15 FoST For some odd reason i an getting negative correction on cylinder 1. Its for a split second but i see upwards of -3.00 on cobb stage 3 tune. On my stratified tune it gets worse i see negative corrections accross the board. The car sometimes sputters in 1st gear. I believe im having a misfire and i think it might be the spark plugs. The car runs fine other than this and is not making any wierd noises. mods are, intake system, levels intercooler, catless 3" downpipe, mbrp intercooler piping, boomba bov, muffler and resonator delete, and 1 step colder spark plugs. If anyone is having similar problems or if anyone can help. Thanks

stage 3 tune? from both Strat and COBB? have you contacted Strat about it? data logs? more info is needed. a split second neg correction doesn't mean much if you don't have the logs to know when and why it happened.

how many miles on the plugs? are the plugs gapped or did you just remove them from the box and throw them at the car? what step 1 colder plugs?

Ngk iridium 9 one step colder. Was gapped correctly before install. Currently on cobb stage 3 because the negative corrections are worse on the stratified tune. The plugs have about 20,000 miles on them, ill try to get in touch with them later because of time difference.

gapped "correctly" , what gap? I check mine every oil change... every 5k. At what miles did you switch from COBB to Strat tune?

Data log and send the logs to Strat... only way they will be able to truly help you.

This is all in the details and you really aren't giving us very many details.

I throw NGK's and denzo's in the trash at 20K miles... I check my plugs every oil change as well and tighten the gap if need be. But they dont stay in my car longer than 20k miles. I used this practice on my cobra as well. Car ran much better doing this.

With that being said, I would contact Stratified, get some datalogs and shoot them over to them in an email. They can point you in the right direction with what may be wrong and if there are issues with the tune they can change it accordingly.

Just throwing this out there...as I am not sure if it would cause negative corrections...but on a few occasions I have found CYL 1's plug to be loose in the socket. As several have already mentioned, at every oil change, get into the practice of checking your gaps. You'd be surprised at how much they tend to open up over time.

Also for me, Cyl 1 is my only problem area...if you want to call it that...my OAR is always at -1.00 and even with the WMI I will see negative corrections across the board. Most of the time they will show up in the lower RPM range in 1st gear.

Its crazy...to be honest... I can flat-foot-shift 1st through 5th as hard as possible and not have any negative corrections....but I can casually leave a stop light on any given day and all 4 will have some variety of negativity.

Ahhh...the joys of chasing knock. I have more chunks of RTV under my car than you can imagine (Most is around the CPE-Exhale Kit).

Bumping an old thread to see if OP has resolved his issue. I am also having horrible negative corrections on stratified tunes. Worse then -6.0. What ever happened to your problem OP?
