I took my car into the dealer to get the wheels changed out and they recommended getting an injector flush. I'm not sure if it's them just trying to get me to throw more cash at them or if it's a necessity. My car has about 38k on the odo.

Do you guys have any recommendation on DIY kits?
Is it a somewhat self explanatory process?

I have some basic maintenance knowledge but this would be a new one for me.

The only real injector service, involves removing said injectors, putting them through a bench cleaner, verifying flow pattern, and possibly even flow matching/measuring them.
Even this, minus the time/labor to remove and install injectors is often <$100 alone. So if said service does even 75% of what I mentioned, do it.

If it involves just pumping some mystery fluid through the fuel system, don't bother. You have no idea if flow was improved, if something is leaking, etc.

99% of injector flush/clean services are high markup scams. Do not pass go.

Swapping injectors is crazy easy and reasonably priced. Did mine a few weeks ago.
