I have used this extensively in the Phoenix valley, so many false alerts are already locked out. Mostly in the East valley and Tempe, but driven all of the highways and much of the surrounding areas.

This detector is undetectable, for those of you in "radar detector illegal states"

Damn wish I had waited. I bought a used one on ebay for $260 shipped. It works great I love mine. It replaced a 8500 I had.

how did you have this installed? did you have to plug in to the center console and just deal with the cord hanging next to you the whole time?

I never had it installed in my ST, but that would be the case. You can buy a long flat cable, for about $25 I believe and run it though the headliner and door sil
