Tried using the change to DDS procedure I found on this forum on my 2016 Ford Transit 350 tonight and it didn't work at all... Had a couple DTCs about incompatible settings in the body control module, so I had to switch back to the tpms with 4 sensors... 😭

Does someone actually have the values needed to convert the focus to pre-amp output vs speaker level? I think this would be helpful to have.
See this thread. Only works for ST1 and my 2018 was more stubborn than earlier models.

yeah I got an st3. Bought a scope and plan to dig into it more and determine if we are staying with sync or moving to a new source unit.

The factory Sony amp has the EQ and loudness settings, and what most do is either a Rockford Fosgate DSR1 or Pac Audio AmpPro. Both allow you to bypass the sony amp, giving you a flat high voltage output for amps. The DSR1 removes the sony amp, the AmpPro installs inline. Both have no wire cutting and native plugs. The DSR1 also has a built in DSP. A entry level DSP, but a DSP none the less.

I no longer have the Sony amp or any stock speakers including sub. Got the DSR1 but wonder what voltage is coming from the hu, something seems off. I’ve fought this long enough, the hope with the st3 audio was to NOT upgrade or replace anything but the stock system is terrible. A new source unit addresses all my woes:confused:

I tried using FORscan to fix the ST1 APIM and the speakers and amps I'm running but also found the quality to be utter garbage. Even with a Helix DSP there was nothing I could do to fix it.

Replaced the whole thing with a TT7 128 8G Tesla style head unit from the EKIY Store on Aliexpress and am now using its digital optical output to feed the DSP.

What. A. Frikkin'. Difference.

I would've went with a standard American head unit if it didn't seem like all the DIN kits were overpriced garbage ... or if the actual head units would've had more to offer for their various price ranges. Aside from being unable to locate the reverse backup camera line, this thing has been absolutely awesome. These cheap Chinese head units have come a long way from what they were when I first tried them in 2015.

I’ve seen those but need Apple CarPlay. Was thinking an Excelon screen unit, these do not have optical outs though which is fine, really and puts eq right at the finger tips. The app for the dsr1 is a pita.

Anyone know if there's a way to disable TPMS and switch to that other method like you can in FOCCCUS? With a 2018 I can't get FOCCUS to work on my ECU. :'(
I don't recall having any issues on my '18 ST, but I haven't had to mess with it in a couple years at this point. Here's the thread on the deflation detection system. I hope you get FOCCUS to play nice with your car!

Bambi mode is usually about more light everywhere vs weather dependent lighting. Fogs normally fill in more peripheral lighting. Highs + fogs gets it's nickname from helping you spy deer a bit easier. If you ever drive on rural roads at night with no on coming traffic etc, it's helpful.

No one here is using fogs with their high beams when driving with traffic or in incremental weather.
Deer and elk and bears, oh my! I’m constantly dodging animals this time of year.
Honestly I was looking for the option to turn my “bend” corner illumination lights on with my fogs - the extra side lighting makes a huge difference in spotting a skittish whitetail sprinting toward the road, and every little bit helps.

There it is! That's what I was following to try n get the job done but alas, never got FOCCCUS to do its thang. Every time it gave some error about being unable to read the ECU and I explicitly remember not even bothering with FOCCCUS as I remember reading that the dev stopped supporting it in like 2016.

I feel like there's gotta be something in FORscan to accomplish the same thing though (how different can they really be, right?).

I'll have to check again when I get back home (if only I could remote into the car like I'm tempting into my home lol).

Does anyone know the minimum rev/miles you can adjust your tires to without throwing a code, I got my speedometer accurate but I have a code. And I adjusted the circumference to one that has ( ) with a tire size and it doesn’t throw a code but the speedometer isn’t fixed. Idk if those are the ones ford allows to get changed to or what bc not all of them have tires sizes next to it. The main reason I wanna get rid of this code is bc once in a while my low beams go out and idk why, it has to be that bcm code. I also tried the re learning of the bcm and everything but still can’t remove the code after clearing the dlc

Has anyone figured out how to override the auto off recirculate ? Fargin annoying brah!
Probably your best bet would be to reach out over at the F-150 forums for 'that guy' who gets all the coding secrets to see if he can figure it out. We have one or two 'that guy' programmers here, but I'm pretty sure the one guy on the truck forum works specifically at Ford and knows the interface personally. It's like a map that doesn't have a key for me in this case: I have no idea what the values are in relation to the function... Definitely not going to use 'trial and error' method for something with my car, LOL. Microprocessors are a PITA if you're not familiar, and data sheets are typically 400+ pages long. Thus, no one wants to spend time digging 🤷‍♂️ I know I'm not tearing apart the BCIM module or anything else just to find out what chip it's talking to and what all the programming is, LOL. Wish I could help man, but it's above my pay-grade :p

I don't know if anyone else posted about this but I went to the forscan website last night and see that the extended licenses are currently unavailable as the Russian site has been blocked due to US sanctions. Again, this may likely be old news
Just checked it this morning and it says on their "what's new" page they're resuming sales as of March 3, so looks like it's good to go again.

They go back and fourth with sanctions, so it goes away and comes back again occasionally lol
