Ford Focus ST Fog Light LED

Diode Dynamics carries LED bulbs for replacement of your Ford Focus ST's fog lights, in all major sizes. They are available in HP, XP, and SLF styles. This will make your Focus' fog lights a nice bright white that closely matches factory-equipped HID lighting and ST3 LED DRLs! Just simple plug and play, replace the bulb and you are good to go! We also offer Luxeon LED Housings for a complete replacement of your Focus ST factory fog light housings (See Install Video)

Diode Dynamics carries the brightest, highest-quality LED replacements on the market. Your order will ship same day, and we're here if you need us for support and service. These LED bulbs are designed by our engineering team here in St. Louis, and every bulb carries with it a three-year limited warranty.

Brightness:

Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits you best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb, compared to the factory bulb.

HP48: 265 lumens. Slightly lower brightness than factory.

XP80: 510 lumens. Similar brightness to factory.

SLF: Street Legal Output. Much brighter than factory. These are bright! USA Made!

Luxeon LED Replacement Housing: Powered by three genuine Luxeon T LED chips per side, the perfect 5000K white color provides a brilliant LED illumiunation, with a Trulux measured output of 600 lumens. (Please note: similar styles of lamp can be found online which claim much higher output, but these numbers are highly inflated. These lamps are the brightest on the market!)

Bulb Design

HP48: This bulb is designed with 48 Epistar 3014 LED chips. Thanks to the cap on the top, the light from this High Power Bulb is shined backwards and away from the bulb, not straight out. This means the output is excellent, because it uses the vehicle's housing completely, which then shines the light much more uniformly.

XP80: Each of the four sides of this bulb contains three 5W-rated chips, and the top is fitted with four more, under a projector lens. This is the brightest self-contained automotive LED bulb on the market, and is housed in an aluminum casing with a textured finish for maximum heatsinking properties.

These bulbs are made up of a quality plastic connector to slide right into the plug, as well as high durability terminals. A load resistor is embedded to prevent blowing the LEDs from voltage surge, and a diode is implanted to protect the LEDs from reverse polarity. The LED is wired for 12V operation, the kind found on all modern vehicles.

Luxeon LED Replacement Housing: Integrated projector lens distributes light in a wide, even pattern, compliant with DOT and ECE standards for use on-road. With a durable poly-carbonate lens, aluminum housing, and constant-current drive circuit, these LEDs will be durable and reliable for years to come.

Diode Dynamics' products come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a 3-year limited warranty.

I like the luxeon fog light replacement but those won't fit my 2015 ST. Any idea when those will be ready?
The Luxeons are not currently in development for the 2015+ ST's. I don't have an ETA to provide you with unfortunately.

That xp80 3000k looks sweet as hell! but how do these compare to the LED replacement housings?
The XP80's produce 510 lumens, but you'll have much better output with the Luxeon housings. I'd personally recommend the Luxeon housings wrapped in a yellow vinyl film

Okay. One more question, how do the Luxeon compare to the Morimoto's? Or are they the same manufacturer?

They are produced by the same manufacture, so the quality and output are identical

There are plenty of counterfeits out there, so you really have to make sure they are utilizing genuine Luxeon Type-T LEDs

LOL guess I have more questions then. Can you guys retro in a XML2 in 4000k? I would love the light output of those as they would match my ST3's retro projectors and bulbs

The XML2 is available in 4000K, but the Luxeon housings are only available in 5000K

I wouldn't recommend a plug and play LED for low-beam use either, despite how many are being offered today

A quality 35 watt HID kit will provide better results for low-beams than LED

How is the cutoff on the XP80s compared to the stock halogens?

The XP80's utilize the factory reflector housing fairly well, but if you are looking for the best cutoff, I'd go with the Luxeon LED replacement housings

510 lumens is comparable output to the factory halogen bulbs, and won't create a significant increase in glare like you'd expect from an HID Conversion kit

We have more yellow bulb model options in development. An update will be posted when they are available.

I personally recommend the Luxeon LED replacement housings (with a yellow vinyl wrap) for the best results

Gotcha! Yes, unfortunately the 2015's fog light housings are different so the Luxeons aren't available

We have quite a few options in the works. I will be posting when new models are available

Thanks,

Justin told me the Luxeon's would work with the 2015s. He said they were still a bolt-on fit.
