If possible, please provide some info on how these Ztek Manufacturing jack rails are better/stronger/different when compared to the ones from Steeda.

Different - anodizied aluminum vs. steel = never rust, lighter 4 lbs vs. 15.5 lbs.
Stronger - T6 temper 6061 has been treated to provide the maximum precipitation hardening (and therefore maximum yield strength) for a 6061 aluminum alloy vs. mild steel
Better - I wouldn't say better but different. Ztek rails provide excellent ground clearance vs. Steeda but less overall jacking/jack stand surface. Lowered Foci will have no issues with Ztek rails. I can remove the rails on my RS [stock ride height] without jacking it using a ratchet in about 10 minutes - if desired.

We take great price in the CNC machine parts we produce and believe our kit is a good value. Preference for one kit vs. another should take into account what's best for your ride/application.

Hope this helps, feel free to pm/email/post in this thread any other questions.

I can't seem to find these on the manufacturers website?

Are these a one off run or prototype? Are you affiliated with the manufacturer in some way?

I ask because whenever I see someone spelling out "dot com" instead of ".com" it kinda throws up a red flag.

I typed out the "dot" to reduce spam to my email.
Website as requested [needs updating but it's us]: Ztek Manufacturing

Why don't you use smaller bolts, instead of requiring drilling the factory holes larger (save braking the paint)?
Great question and something we wrestled with. Unfortunately the uniformity in paint for that area varies and we wanted to ensure the rivet-nuts would be the right size to securely fasten the jack rails which necessitated the size we spec'd. For mine I used a cotton swab, dipped it in Rustoleum paint and coated the enlarged hole where the paint was removed then used some silicone when installing the rivet-nuts.

Interestingly, this is not a new design, and actually pre-dates Steeda's for the focus. Look up Cooltech Jacking rails. Cooltech stopped making theirs a while ago.

I've got an order in, arriving tomorrow I think? Either way, it's lighter. And the length of the Steeda units are unnecessary. It's great to be able to jack it up anywhere along the length. But IMO, unnecessary. I'm giddy as I've been wanting these for years!

Thanks. They do seem to be identical, even appears to include the same AVK install tool and QualTech drill bit.

Not a new design but improvement on what the other company originally assembled. I had purchased Cooltech from another member and beat someone else to getting them. He then asked if I'd sell him my set - told him no. I then contacted my friend who owns Ztek Mfg. and asked if he could produce these. Before doing so I reached out to Cooltech who said they had no plans to produce them any more. We made some improvements [slotted holes in the rails], all stainless hardware and properly sized rivet-nut install bearing with raised lip for the rivet-nut to seat to [these were machined in house].

If only I would have loved in the usa. I just cant justify the price after shipping to europe and import taxes, steeda can ship from the uk = no import taxes.

is there any real advantages over the steeda? I am just about to install my steeda kit and i stumbled on this :(
These are 4 lbs installed, vs. 15 lbs Steeda. Anodized aluminum and all stainless hardware [no rust] vs. Steeda [mild steel and I've read other owners stating rust issues. Steeda's are longer = more jacking / jack stand surface. Ztek's jack rails have better ground clearance and can be removed in less than 10 minutes without jacking the car [if desired]. I think that's it.

Chris [@klex] has kits in Canada and can ship to you directly. Please contact him through email at: [email protected]
Still the same, shipping + customs bumps the price up to much over the Steeda rails that for europe are shipped from the UK --> low shipping costs and no customs (UK is for the moment still in the EU)
