off centering that scoop near the air filter and making it a ram air would be cool!

It's actually a custom hood. They took the hood from a toyota tacoma i think it was and cut it out and grafted it on. I forget what forum i saw it on a couple years ago incase anyone still wanted to know.

If the OP is open to some friendly advice, I wouldn't drift too far away from Focus styling. I for one am aiming to get that carbon hood with the Mk.2 RS vents. It's much more keeping with the Focus family styling.

Most likely a generic hood scoop that was cut and added into the stock hood.
If it is, I’d love to know what it is.

Yeah it has the same body lines as the stock hood, I'd guess it was custom fabbed on there by someone. You could buy literally ANY hood scoop and take it to a body shop that knows what they're doing and have them stitch it together and paint match it.

I mean I think it looks gross, but what I think doesn't matter if you like it for YOUR car :)

Agree. It's not a good look and definitely belongs in the not-so-good styling that came from Need for Speed and the Fast and the Furious. But like you said, they can do what they want with their own car. It's not hard to do but I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you're just going to get a stick-on scoop (pls don't).

I'm waiting to see an ST with a scoop like this AND a scoop on the roof between the driver's and passengers seat...like in the Need for Speed games you see so often.

The only hood scoop that looks decent on the FoRS is the WRX-style one and even that I'm still iffy on. The hole shtick of the FoST is that it's more of a grown-up car compared to the EVO, WRX, or CTR. Similar to the styling of the Mazdaspeed6. A hood scoop just make a FoST look like a Mazdaspeed3.

The OP picture LITERALLY looks like an MS3 to me. And that was my first thought opening this thread...and my second thought was "no."
