Well crap. With that little information there's a hundred or more things it could be. Get it to a shop or your dealer and get it figured out. It's not dead yet, don't give up hope!!

dead was a bit final.Big elastictriccery problem to be exact like a fuse gone or something.Had a root around the main fusebox but looking at the manual there is no specific fuse that covers whole electrical system.

Your battery committed suicide the second you pushed the start button. Sometimes you get a warning (weird, sluggish start before it strands you at the grocery store) and sometimes you get none.

Go get a battery.

Would definitely get the battery tested first. Most shops will/can test yours for a dead cell before selling you a new one. Hope you get it fixed soon man.

Probably battery. The one in my SE only made it about 50k miles (though the replacement lasted until the car was totaled at 204k). Assuming it's the same battery, it's small and light, cheap to replace, easy to get in and out, but not much spare capacity.

This must be the first time you've experienced a dead battery?

If the battery went bad in flash then it's likely shorted. When this happens you can literally start the car, turn it off, try to start it and pfft the cells short and it's completely dead. It's happened on a couple of my cars. When it happens you might not be able to jump it with cheap jumper cables, but if you get some heavy gauge ones it will start. It's because the short pulls a bunch of juice and small cables don't provide enough umph to override the short. That's why I always carry heavy cables. That's my scientific explanation.

I wouldn't even worry about it.... World is ending..The Indians just made the World Series...
Browns still suck horribly, so I think we're safe for a little bit.

I've been dealing with this the last couple of weeks--yes, your battery is toast.
I went to a car show two weeks ago: parked the ST, got it cleaned-up, then had to jockey it around a bit; when I went to start it---nothing.
On the plus side, the guy parked next to me, who I've known for a couple of year from local shows, had cables--in his '63 Ford Starliner! Just an amazing car--406 Big Block, 4-speed, 4.10 gears, absolutely beautiful. Shout out to Pete St. Germaine.
