I have mine set to auto and the fogs and headlights come on together when it gets dark enough.

Mine is on auto as well but only the headlights turn on. The fogs don't come on with it. I have to turn them on separately. Now if I have the car running and they turn on in a dark place then turn off again because of light. Then again back into a dark place it remembers it while the car is running. But if I turn the car off it doesn't remember it.

That's odd. I have mine set to auto and they always come on together. The only time I have to push the fog button is if I reflash the car to a different tune or I turn everything off.

Maybe it's something to do with the early 13 builds. Mine was built in 12. It's been that way since day one.

For the experienced in this field...

If you make these changes (global windows, etc), do they get reset if you go to the dealership for service and they update your software or anything like that? Also, can dealerships tell that you've done something and try to deny any service for these kinds of mods?

Thanks

I have not had mine reset by the dealer when taking it in. Technically they "could" find it and deny because of it but you need to give them reason to look at something like that. If you are that worried about being denied do to it just change it back before you bring it in. I know the dealer has done the global windows for some so I doubt they could deny over that one.

Cool. Thanks for the input.
I just didn't know if it was something that sticks out like a sore thumb to them or not.

I am generally loathe to mislead/lie about anything, but in a case such as this I would just tell them someone there did it for me on request, and shrug. Let them try and give you warranty hassle then.

Withholding features like this, when they are there and available, is one of my biggest beefs with car manufacturers, so I consider a tiny bit of dishonesty in the service of using simple features like this "dishonest" in the same sense that an Intelligence Officer misleads an adversary for noble gains (think James Bond :)).

Or lying to protect someone from something bad. Ford is ethically wrong to implement features like global windows, then only enable it for certain markets. So I don't see anything unethical with a little deception related to using these features.

I have a 2016 Focus ST (I've had it for 5 days, so I'm a noob). Got a USB OBD cable from scantool.com. Using the focccus software, it was able to read my factory settings. I saved to a file, then changed the shift light setting to "Not Set" (the other options were "Without shift indication" and "Unknown"). Flashed it back to my car, then took it for a test drive. Shift light still there. :(

Should I have set it to "Without shift indication"?

Hey there guys and gals. So I added ST3 headlights to my ST1, model year was 2015 on both. Has the FOCCCUS app been updated to where we can switch our settings yet? I read the last few pages of this thread but did not see I definite answer. Thanks in advance
It does work for MY15. I just tested it. I also believe that I'm talking to you guys about it in the KC Facebook group.
So you guys were able to successfully install and use ST2/3 headlights on an ST1? I just bought a set and need to get this done.

Hi everybody. I have read all the thread and I have a doubt about the close/open windows mod. My Focus III 2016 named "S" witch is the level entry in my country don´t have one touch in the four windows, only in the driver´s one, and just to down the window. The answerd is: Can the mod works on this or is a essential condition have one touch in all the windows to make it works with Foccus.Basically different modules.
The car was built in april 2016 HW:F1ET-14F094-AB; App.FIET-14C026-AAH
Thanks.

It's required that the car have the one touch up/down window controls in order to use the global windows modification.

It connected with my OBDLink, but wouldn't fully work. I ended up getting it to work with my cheapo generic bluetooth adapter.
Necro question lol - Which did you order? I got a cheapo usb obd adapter, but that didn't work.

Ok. I got it to work with my laptop. Got global windows working. Still getting an error code for my headlights though with it set to alternate HID. I tried HID, and got what seemed to be a more severe error code saying to service now. Not sure what to do for the headlights.

Edit: I also noticed the BCM has a DTC U2101. What's that? :p

I haven't done the HID mod yet to any cars but once in a blue moon I'd get en error code. I don't remember what error code it was but once I cleared it, i never had a problem with it again. I've done over ten cars now with the global windows and fogs on with high beams.
