I looked for the harness quickly but didn't find any connector near the latch... Or maybe I didn't see it, IDK. I guess I could shunt the connector's leads if I can find it, and get away with the DTC.

But that's not solving the issue I'm having with the software anyway...
Sorry I can't help you with the software- I haven't even tried that yet.

Going by some wiring diagrams I've got, the bonnet switch goes to BCM plug C2280A pin 15 (blue/orange wire). It's the upper LHS plug on my BCM.

I don't know if the Focccus app is being actively developed but apparently it hasn't been updated in a long time. There's no way for using Wifi OBD2 adapters with it. Apparently it only accepts connections via COM ports. I bought what is supposed to be a top notch obd2 device just to find out I can't use it with focccus. I have the ObdLink MX (wifi version).
I don't know if it's been tried before but does anyone know if messing with virtual com ports or something that forwards a virtual COM port to TCP will get me anywhere...

Thanks

It was just updated in March of this year.

The first page of this thread is with the OBDLink MX Bluetooth. Not sure what it would take to get the Wifi version working.

A friend of mine did my 2016 ST1. The global windows work brilliantly and the shift light delete is fantastic. I paid him 15 bucks which for him is pure profit but money well spent for me.

Just wanted to report that the latest version of this app does work with the 2016 Focus Titanium. I used it to successfully change the head lights to Alternate HID and to change the global windows setting. Don't know about the headlights yet as I haven't installed my HIDs yet but the global windows does work. This did take several attempts with error hang ups before it finally worked however.

Any chance this software will work on a cabled OBD device or WiFi?

the software only says "offline mode" :(

Considering the global open/close and shift light turned off, does this stuff have to be re-programmed if I take the car in for service?

It would be awesome if wifi support is incorporated into this app the same way forscan does.
I have the Obdlink MX (Wifi) and I've been using NetBurners Virtual COM Port Driver. (How to create a virtual serial port) to emulate a com port. I'm able to launch focccus app but as soon as I hit "Read form BCM" it goes all the way up to 40% and hangs there. Try it and see if it works for you.

ahhh ok... i have the Tactric OpenPort 2.0 aswell... works great with ForScan, but nothing in the Focccus app :/

ill try to make a viritual comport or something :)

No idea if somebody tried this before, but here is what I did right now: I broke the plastic steering limiter out, so I can use the full steering angle of the normal Focus. Some others did this too without any problems (as long you have enough wheel clearance, might/will not work with stock wheels!!). The only thing is that the last few degrees are not supported by the power steering, you have to turn while rolling or you need more strength to turn. I thought I could solve this by changing the point "steering c-factor" from "ST" to "normal", it´s 234 I believe. I know the factor itself has nothing to do with the maximum angle, instead it´s a factor used for calculating how many degrees the wheels turn with the turn of the steering wheel. The ST should have a bigger factor, it turns the wheels faster than the normal Focus.

Long story short: I did not feel any difference, not while driving and not at the maximum angle. The only significant difference was that the ST logo at startup changed to the Ford logo! I switched back immediately, made me a bit nervous

From what I can tell there a calibration that needs to be done for this. Below is taken from etis.

Steering Rack Limiter Configuration

This application should be used to configure the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) after fitting the steering rack limiter shims.

So I am wondering if anyone could help. I flashed the BCM with the XML file from As-Built Editor Ford Focus III to change fog light function and global up/down. My mistake was that I thought I downloaded a good BCM XML file from my car before changing come to find out it was filled with garbage when looking at it later to re-flash. I used the ETIS generated one, and seems to be working fine after i un-bricked my car.

Was wondering if someone with similar build could send me their BCM XML file so i can verify?

My car is a 2012 ST2 with factory power moonroof.
VIN is 1FADP3L92DL196865 for specifics.

Not sure where i made the error, as it connected a read fine.

Did you ever get this taken care of? I am 2013 ST2 (no sun roof though) technically 2012 production date.

Has anyone figured out how to make the fogs come on at the same time as the headlights without having to press the button every time.

I have mine set to auto and the fogs and headlights come on together when it gets dark enough.
