OK, since I only want to modify my Focus for HIDs and for global open then I just bought the cable from amazon. I could modify it later but for what I want now, it'll work. Glad I can get rid of the resistors. I am pretty sure we keep the relay harness for a reliable power source from the battery.
Is thisa question or a statement

All gone already [emoji17]
What do you do for a living? Programming?
Essentially Im an advanced electronics technician. I am also in school to be an engineer. I work for a testing organization that gets the newest of the new before everyone else. We make sure everything integrates they way the enginnering spec says it should before signing off on it and giving it to the end user Basically it is a form of Quality Assurance.

Dont be so sure...that is what i originnally read as well but it say to email a request and they would make a determination on the individual request. Mine was approved yours may as well.

This adapter is not a scanner, though it does have the capability. From what i can tell it looks like a J2534 passthrough device but without the api needed to reprogram.

Very big update. Not sure how to implement all this new info. Im gonna have get into contact directly with xgloom. Today out of the blue, i was handed a list of every parameter it seems for the US Spec Focus central config. All 254 of them. At this time im not sure what the options are for changing each but we shall all know soon enough.

the list includes a navigation option for those that care.

#147 audible mislock feedback stock is at a 06 value and the drop down menu is no help wonder if it was set to 01 if it would disable the horn honk when engine running. will test when i get in about 15 min. Wonder how many neighbors ill piss off at 2am.

Well that did NOT work. i knew it was a long shot anyway.

Ok Deflation detection does not work and doesnt even register a tire going completely flat. Flashing back to tpms...does car need to be moving for either to work?
That's how Honda cars read tire pressure. It goes off the theory of a tire that is low will roll at a different rate than one that is properly inflated. For that to work basically you need to have a tire go flat whole driving. It can not detect tire pressure nor can it alert you unless your vehicle is moving. However you can change wheels and tires as often as you like without having to relearn tpms.

What email address did you use? I am using the customersupport@sp.makerfaire.com address but my emails keep getting rejected with a "554 No relaying allowed - psmtp" error. I could not find any other addresses.

Jstump, you need to google ford openxc. Sign up for the free developer account. Then read the section about the different opensource VI types. The official ford one will be there. Click a link from there and to request yours.

Ok so I can now read the ipc but still get a checksum error. Im thinking this is related to baud/bus types settings during the initial connection
So far, ive tried connecting with 38400 and both boxes checked and also tried 500k and both unchecked. Ive logged all the screens as well.

DL3TE..you asked about checksums awhile back and how I got them...well I found that depending on your connection speed on Focccus startup some individual tabs in the app will have different data. Ie 38400bcm may have one partnumber for software. But then when you connect at 500k that same bcm tab will have a different part number. This just proves that the car really does have different info on the different buses.

I will be posting all the parameter names for our focus later today just as soon as I can find a good way to display it
