Versions of ODBLink MX versions.
Do you have a link to a proven part that works with the 2013-14 Focus ST? if so i will just buy that and return the MX
Jinstall quote is not correct. There is only one MX however there is an SX( not CAN compatible) and a plain jane obdlink and very soon there will be an obdlink mx wifi.

If your MX has problems and is a little older dont forget the MX is firmware upgradeable so if you have problems check that first. I guarantee the MX is fully capable of Focccus.

if your manufacture date is before this you may have an update. If after this then you are good because the firmwareis the newest. If you have issues I have absolutely zero probs walking you through it.

A buddy let me borrow his gopro hero to check the stiffness of my custom lip spoiler. Ill use that and make a vid soon with a complete walkthrough with my obdlink MX all the way through to actually writing the new options.

you may need to try different drivers. These are the ones that worked for me with my ELM. Mine said 1.5a as well, but was glued together, not screwed.

Ah, I didn't even bother with the CD that came with it. It said it was a CD-RW, so I automatically figured it was spyware… Also, It's a tiny disc so I didn't want to break my mac's CD drive (slot loading)

I don't think the disk will work with slot loading drives if you want i can upload the drivers for you to download.

Drivers here. Just drivers. not the whole disk contents

Reading this thread others stated that viruses have been found or risk of virus on the disk and if the drivers windows installs do not work, google for them. I did that and the drivers I downloaded worked.

Im not sure if you have ever used cracked or hacked software before but anytime a key generator is used 99% of the time virus scanners pick them as a hacktool and will actively erase them. When new software is installed alot of times the built in license generator is linked to an email and some sort of hardware id. In this case the program creates the hardware id, then you put that id into the key generator and it spits out a license key. My virus scanner called it a hack tool as well so i copied the tool and ran it in a sandbox and all was good.

Yeah I posted the drivers I got from a different company a few posts ago. Mine works perfectly fine both HS-CAN and (after modding) MS-CAN.
Personally I used the driver windows automatically installed with no issues other than common read and write issues.

My manufacture date was 2013.12.06

Scantool is fedexing me a new MX to see if it clears up the issue. I had it loosing connecting with multiple phones/computers and even with the recommended GBU421 Bluetooth USB Dongle.

I was able to give 3 cars global Windows with it, it just was dropping out of Bluetooth so we had to do it multiple times before it would complete.

Wow...well after looking at their forums its not unheard of for one to fail but they got you a new one pretty quickly then? No problems with customer service?

I didn't bother looking at the disc at all. Just downloaded drivers after it didn't like the windows drivers that were selected.
