What is your BCM number? I'm also getting "File Not Found" from the Motorcraft website with BV6N-14C094-DF.
Close.
BV6N-14C094-BJ is my Strategy.
BV6N-14C095-BJ is my Calibration

When you start FoCCCus do you have port speed set to auto and max bandwidth unchecked? This was the only way I could get it to do a full read without giving me the error while laoding VBF message.
I unticked both and have been running 50000.
I had success with Global Open/Close that way. But I've tried with and without.

So I plan on messing with this, tomorrow as my weekend start, I want to try and get as much info and see what I can do this weekend as next week will be out of the country for a while.

Plan on doing the window mod first, and my next mission is DRLs. I want this option, so it is going to be my main focus... no pun intended, for now. I have read through here and it seems only a few things have been tried, so hopefully something comes of it and I dont **** up my car haha either way should be a learning experience.

Ok update. If you load from bcm, many parameters are available to toggle such as led drl. I toggled this along with shift light off and kept global open on. After the write I opened forscan and erased the 30+ dtc however 2 kept comeing back. 1 says invalid data received at pcm and the other said incompatible setting from pscm. I tried erasing atleast 10 times. Always came back. Then I went and turned drl back to normal and now all dtc is clear. Then I loaded my as built in to the editor. Sure enough, led drl is not a selection available for my vin. But global open and shift light off are an option. This just goes to show that loading from the bcm is just loading all the options from some table somewhere. All options arent necessarily available on your exact model.

Interesting and what year is yours?

Jan 5th 2013 build date ST3. Im thinking some of these options are going to be totally dependent on the different modules each of us have. I know that there were atleast 3 revisions to the 2013 as well as the fact that it is a global car and the options probably include all models of MK3.

Side note. I just took her out on a spirited ride around the block. The horrible shift light is truely gone.

Ahh interesting and sad.
If someone could get a wiring diagram for those DRL. You could rewire them as the DRL and program the bcm but if you're going to that trouble you might as well just wire them on with the ignition.

Yeah and I believe someone has already dont that, but I was really not wanting to mess with the wiring, was really hoping it was just a simple software mod.

Do we know how the Europe headlights differ from the US as I believe they have DRLs.

This is because the vbf files listed for the modules are not the same used for programming. As I stated before the vbf file needed for the IPC is the same one ids uses when doing CCC data programming. Plus the software isnt set up yet to use the right vbf nor foes it have the secret key programmed in. This will be in the next release. Jdub you have a pm

Got my Global open/close working! forgot to disable the shift light though :(

It took me a few tries though. Kept getting errors reading the VBF, or connecting. After a few tries it went through though. Gotta say, it's a bit scary seeing everything in the car power cycle.

I also tried to get DRLs to work last night with no success. After playing with the DRLs I got a couple headlight module DTCs that would not clear with ForScan for the life of me even after I changed the setting back to factory. I ended up reloading the original AS Built data that I downloaded from the BCM as a back up and modified that with all the settings I wanted and loaded it on the BCM and the DTCs went away. It's almost like, if you read and write over and over something gets corrupt and causes DTCs that will not go away without reloading the original back to the BCM and starting over.

So a tip of you get unclearable codes, reload the back up you should have taken when you first read from the car and start over.

Something else I found as well is sometimes after read/write sessions, the car will seem unresponsive and will not turn on. Or if you do turn it on it will not want to turn off. It freaked me out for a minute each time this happened but just keep calm, give it like 30-60 seconds and try again. I think the system needs some reboot time when playing with these settings. This happened twice in the 15 or so read writes I did.

I had this issue too when trying to clear some codes with Forscan. Kept popping up with errors about headlight bulbs, as I enabled the DRL option. My solution was to clear the codes with my accessport. Worked like a charm, no more check engine light.
