I have tried to find a blow off valve that flutters and can't seem to find one. All I get are people saying that their bov is fluttering when it isn't supposed to which could cause turbo shaft failure, but I want one that does it on purpose. Or are there non?

Turbo flutter is a pretty good indication of compressor housing surge. Not a good thing for any turbo car. A nice WOOSHHHHHHHHH sound is what you should be listening for. Hope that helps!

Ive been happy with my Turbosmart. IT's adjustable like mentioned above. I get a nice loud PPSSSSHHHHHHH sound :) goes great with my new exhaust too!

You'd probably like the sound of the hks ssqv, give it a YouTube. Also they work perfectly right out of the box :big smile:

Thanks a lot guys. I decided on the turbo smart bov and love it. No compressor surge yet so fingers crossed it won't happen.

FYI, unless you're running a tune, you shouldn't be getting compressor surge even with the stock recirc valve. And yes, flutter or compressor surge is bad.
