My son is giving me a set of 18 x 9.5 ET35 wheels for my 2013 Ford Focus ST2 currently fitted with the stock OEM wheels and Goodyear F!'s. Charts show the 235/40-18 Goodyears can fit on a 9.5 inch wheel but I don't think the stretched out fit will look good. Focus Rush has a chart that shows an 18 x 9.5 ET35 wheel will stick out past the front fender lip, but I could live with that look. The real question then is, what size tire would fit without any rubbing issues. A post by eglove states that 235 is the maximum size you can go, but others seem to have mounted 245's with no problems (although the wheel offsets may be different). What tire size can I go with? Would a 245/35-18 work without rubbing?
